Doug Krieger and Dene McGriff

Here we are again.  WMD - Weapons of Mass Destruction...instead of Colin Powell, we've got John Kerry doing theLIE TO ME honors - but his tearful drama far exceeds Colin's rather steril UN presentation.  No doubt 1500 were killed by some serious lethal gas in Syria...and now the World's Policeman, after numerous gas attacks, decides it's time to acknowledge: Someone crossed my red line.  Go figure:  The anti-war cabal of Obama-Kerry-Reed-Pelosi et al have suddenly become overnight hawks?  Where's Chris Matthews when you need him?  Oh, we know, he's over at the Reagan Library doing a book signing of his mythical text:  Tip and the Gipper: When Politics Worked.

Don't you feel like Bagdad Bob is alive and well these days?  Somehow we're leading from behind until no behind is left! Could it be that the articles read hereunder represent the real news behind the news?  If so, that would mean that someone's lying to us AGAIN!  What is it about America - "Woe to the land shadowed with buzzing wings ... which sends ambassadors by sea ... to a people terrible from their beginning onward, a nation powerful and treading down, whose land the rivers divide" (Isaiah 18 excerpts) ... sandwiched between the Oracle of Damascus rapidly becoming a RUINOUS HEAP - Isaiah 17 and the Oracle of Egypt - where "I will set Egyptians against Egyptians" in Isaiah 19 and between them there is this "mystery nation...terrible from their beginning onward" although they humbly deny they ever were terrible (Isaiah 18); after all, weren't we always this God-fearing, righteous beacon of light to the nations of the world?

What if this whole charade is naught but an attempt to pull Israel into a major altercation with Syria, Hezbollah, Iran as a final wrap up to the Arab-Israeli conflict in earnest since 1948 with its six major blow-ups:  1948, 1956, 1967, 1973, 1982, 2006 and now this?  Sure, Israeli intelligence will carry the day to figure out where the WMD are found or moved ... Bashar al-Assad goes totally insane (rather than partially insane) and starts firing away at Israel via any number of proxies and denying he has anything to do with it, after 110,000 dead and millions displaced and half his country in shambles.  It doesn't take a geopolitical genius to figure out TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES - the likelihood of things getting out of control (which they already are) is 99.9999% the case.

Listen, going in for a surgical two-day strike to spank the "Screwball of Syria" is about as useful as watering weeds in hopes wild flowers will bloom.  Even the Brits are clear this is a loser - and, the French are still trying to figure out how to be relevant in Africa and the Middle East; besides, Syria was always French; sort of.

No, this is no two-day spanking excursion.  Action creates reaction and suddenly things get out of hand real fast...but is this what the "powers that be" want right about now...nothing like keeping the 'ole military-industrial complex rockin' and rollin' - nothing like it...and it's so much more self-righteous when it comes from the Left of the political spectrum, isn't it?

We just want you folks to read these documents out loud in your brain and try to put 2 and 2 together somehow.  If you don't know they're lying to us again, you'll never know.  The craziest things happen when people go ignorant - and don't think that can't happen - a whole generation of communists and fascists fell for some blatant lies, really did.

We Americans have been lied to so many times that if the truth stared us in the face - politically - militarily - economically - religiously - we'd think it was the lie!  Remember, when Jesus talked about the End of the World on the Mount of Olives He was big on watching out for DECEPTION!

A whole generation has been taught I DID IT MY WAY - DO WHAT THOU WILT - DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO - WHATEVER FLOATS YOUR BOAT and look at the mess were in...but we call it freedom of expression and other supercilious claptrap.  Since we've lost our moral compass in any event - WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?

There's really no right or wrong, good or evil - just be your own god - BE ALL THAT YOU CAN BE - FOLLOW YOUR HEART...then again:  THE HEART IS DECEITFUL AND DESPERATELY WICKED ABOVE ALL THINGS, WHO CAN KNOW IT?  And so, dear friends, the Tribnet would be remiss if we didn't expose you to the news behind the news ... but, you know, we're just little cogs in this huge wheel ... notwithstanding, the truth has to begin somewhere ... thus, as watchmen on the wall, we feel the truth is out there and will win out on that Day....

Rebels Admit Responsibility for Chemical Weapons Attack

Militants tell AP reporter they mishandled Saudi-supplied chemical weapons, causing accident - Paul Joseph Watson - August 30, 2013

gassed victgimsSyrian rebels in the Damascus suburb of Ghouta have admitted to Associated Press correspondent Dale Gavlak that they were responsible for last week’s chemical weapons incident which western powers have blamed on Bashar al-Assad’s forces, revealing that the casualties were the result of an accident caused by rebels mishandling chemical weapons provided to them by Saudi Arabia.

“From numerous interviews with doctors, Ghouta residents, rebel fighters and their families....many believe that certain rebels received chemical weapons via the Saudi intelligence chief, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, and were responsible for carrying out the (deadly) gas attack,” writes Gavlak. (back up version here).

Rebels told Gavlak that they were not properly trained on how to handle the chemical weapons or even told what they were. It appears as though the weapons were initially supposed to be given to the Al-Qaeda offshoot Jabhat al-Nusra.

“We were very curious about these arms. And unfortunately, some of the fighters handled the weapons improperly and set off the explosions,” one militant named ‘J’ told Gavlak.

His claims are echoed by another female fighter named ‘K’, who told Gavlak, “They didn’t tell us what these arms were or how to use them. We didn’t know they were chemical weapons. We never imagined they were chemical weapons.”

Abu Abdel-Moneim, the father of an opposition rebel, also told Gavlak, “My son came to me two weeks ago asking what I thought the weapons were that he had been asked to carry,” describing them as having a “tube-like structure” while others were like a “huge gas bottle.” The father names the Saudi militant who provided the weapons as Abu Ayesha.

According to Abdel-Moneim, the weapons exploded inside a tunnel, killing 12 rebels.

“More than a dozen rebels interviewed reported that their salaries came from the Saudi government,” writes Gavlak.

If accurate, this story could completely derail the United States’ rush to attack Syria which has been founded on the “undeniable” justification that Assad was behind the chemical weapons attack. Dale Gavlak’s credibility is very impressive. He has been a Middle East correspondent for the Associated Press for two decades and has also worked for National Public Radio (NPR) and written articles for BBC News.

The website on which the story originally appeared - Mint Press (which is currently down as a result of huge traffic it is attracting to the article) is a legitimate media organization based in Minnesota. The Minnesota Post did a profile on them last year.

Saudi Arabia’s alleged role in providing rebels, whom they have vehemently backed at every turn, with chemical weapons, is no surprise given the revelations earlier this week that the Saudis threatened Russia with terror attacks at next year’s Winter Olympics in Sochi unless they abandoned support for the Syrian President.

“I can give you a guarantee to protect the Winter Olympics next year. The Chechen groups that threaten the security of the games are controlled by us,” Prince Bandar allegedly told Vladimir Putin, the Telegraph reports.

The Obama administration is set to present its intelligence findings today in an effort [to] prove that Assad’s forces were behind last week’s attack, despite American officials admitting to the New York Times that there is no “smoking gun” that directly links President Assad to the attack.

US intelligence officials also told the Associated Press that the intelligence proving Assad’s culpability is “no slam dunk.”

As we reported earlier this week, intercepted intelligence revealed that the Syrian Defense Ministry was making “panicked” phone calls to Syria’s chemical weapons department demanding answers in the hours after the attack, suggesting that it was not ordered by Assad’s forces.

UPDATE: Associated Press contacted us to confirm that Dave Gavlak is an AP correspondent, but that her story was not published under the banner of the Associated Press. We didn’t claim this was the case, we merely pointed to Gavlak’s credentials to stress that she is a credible source, being not only an AP correspondent, but also having written for PBS, BBC and

Israel pre-war Alert

by Shira Sorko-Ram, Maoz---

ISRAELI GAS MASKSI’m sitting on my reclining chair looking out the window at the blue sultry August skies.  Nothing but peace and quiet in our little suburb north of Tel Aviv. Yes, it is true that the most ghastly crime thinkable is taking place not far away.  Syria’s president is gassing his own people.  But at least that is 133 miles away.

On our southern border, the Muslim Brotherhood and Egypt’s military are battling it out.  Christians are under violent persecution by the Brotherhood.  But at least Cairo is 250 miles away. Hamas in Gaza is trying to figure out what to do – now that they have lost their patron, the Muslim Brotherhood.  Not many rockets have been coming our way lately from Gaza.  Yes, they are not too far from us, but they are still 44 miles away. Read on...

A senior Syrian military official says: “If the U.S. or a coalition of nations attacks Syrian government forces, Syria and its allies will launch an immediate attack on Israel….

“If Damascus comes under attack, Tel Aviv will be targeted too and a full-scale war against Syria will actually issue a license for attacking Israel,” …“We are rest assured that if Syria is attacked, Israel will also be set on fire and such an attack will, in turn, engage Syria’s neighbors,” …“Therefore, weakening the central government in Damascus will actually start growing attacks on Israel and will create insecurity for that regime...Thus, a U.S. attack on Syria will herald frequent strikes and attacks on Israel, not just by Damascus and its allies in retaliation, but by extremist groups who will find ground for staging their aspirations...Yet, if such an incident takes place, which is impossible, the Zionist regime will be the first victim of a military attack on Syria.”

God says: “I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.  On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness,” declares Yahweh. “I will keep a watchful eye over Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations. Then the clans of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘The people of Jerusalem are strong, because Yahweh Almighty is their God.’ “On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume all the surrounding peoples right and left, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place.” (Zechariah 12:2-9)

The Jerusalem Connection says:

The Zechariah prophecy is waiting (breathlessly) to be fulfilled. If the conflict in Syria and a U.S. response to that is a prelude to the extended conflict predicted by the “Syrian military official,” then you can expect a stunning victory by Israel that sweeps through the whole region. In other words you can expect to witness the fulfillment of Zechariah’s prophecy. Make no mistake, “These are the days of Elijah, declaring the word of Yahweh … Still we are the voice in the desert crying Prepare ye the way of Yahweh!... And we are the laborers that are in Your vineyard Declaring the Word of Yahweh!”    Terrifying Infographic (See Enlarged version Here)

Threats and turmoil in the Middle East have collectively reached one of the highest peaks in recent history with no stopping or slowing in sight. Chemical weapon use was confirmed by the Assad regime in the bloody civil war in Syria. In neighboring Lebanon, four rockets were launched by terrorists towards Israel. Hezbollah is dirtying its hands in both countries, aggressively participating in the Syrian civil war with troops and arms, and holding more than 70,000 rockets in Lebanon, all of which are hidden within civilian infrastructure and aimed at Israel.

On Israel’s southern border, Iranian-proxy Hamas holds more than 10,000 rockets. Hamas’ charter rejects a two-state solution and the legitimacy of a Jewish state and calls for Israel’s complete annihilation.

In the West Bank, radical forces opposing the Palestinian Authority and a culture of conflict generate strong anti-Israel incitement and hatred. Throughout the region, including within Lebanon, Syria and Sinai, the growing presence and threat of global jihad elements is of deep concern. And, as attention in the Middle East jumps from one hotspot to another, the public is losing sight of the greatest threat to international peace and security: Iran’s military nuclear program.

Iran is developing its breakout capacity by stockpiling large quantities of low enriched uranium, expanding its ability to swiftly enrich uranium, and advancing a parallel plutonium track. Some may say the map is alarmist. Undeniably, the map is our geopolitical reality, and we will be vigilant in protecting our people and our borders.

  • Netanyahu: If attacked we will respond with great might by Israel Hayom “The State of Israel is ready for any scenario,” Netanyahu said. “We are not part of the civil war in Syria but if we identify any attempt whatsoever to harm us, we will respond, and we will respond with great might.”

Posted on August 28, 2013 by Jerusalem Connection Posted in NetanyahuSyria and Lebanon

The winds of war are blowing through the Middle East. The U.S., Britain and France are preparing to attack Syria while Israel is trying to stay out of the picture.

However, on Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a warning to Syria in response to threats that Syria would strike Israel in retaliation for Western military action.

“The State of Israel is ready for any scenario,” Netanyahu said. “We are not part of the civil war in Syria but if we identify any attempt whatsoever to harm us, we will respond, and we will respond with great might.”

Meanwhile, Yaakov Amidror, Netanyahu’s national security adviser, met in Washington on Tuesday with his U.S. counterpart, Susan Rice.  Also on Tuesday, Netanyahu convened a urgent meeting with high-level officials — including Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon, Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz, Homefront Defense Minister Gilad Erdan and Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz — to discuss Israel’s security situation.

Israeli officials believe the chances of a Syrian attack on Israel are low. But if Syria does strike, officials say, Israel’s response will shake Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime and lead to his downfall.

Gantz also delivered a deterrent message to Syria on Tuesday, saying, “Those who seek to harm us will find us sharper and more resolute than ever. We’re prepared to defend our citizens in any scenario that we’re faced with.”

Ya’alon sounded a similar note, saying, “Those who dare to test us will encounter the might of the IDF.”

The IDF has begun to refresh its forces in the north and the Israel Air Force has been put on alert.

Given the tension in Syria, residents of northern Israel are preparing for the possibility of war. Yet authorities have issued no new instructions to local municipalities and thousands of vacationers continue to flood the region.

“The bomb shelters have not been opened and educational institutions are operating as normal,” Yaara Kadosh, the spokeswoman for the Upper Galilee Regional Council, said.

The Haifa municipality is reviewing its procedures for a state of emergency. The city has a state-of-the-art underground operations room designed to survive even a unconventional weapons attack.

Nahariya Mayor Jackie Sabag told Israel Hayom that despite the rocket attack from Lebanon last week, the IDF Homefront Command had issued no new instructions.

In recent days, many Israelis have been arriving at post offices around the country to receive gas masks.

“Assad is crazy,” said Tzadok Chaim, who went to a post office in Tel Aviv on Tuesday to get a gas mask. “If he is willing to shoot chemicals at his people and spray them like cockroaches, he is capable of doing anything, including attacking us.”

Alana Finkler, a 37-year-old mother of two, said, “All day, I’ve worried about my children. I sent them to school and I went to pick up gas masks. I heard on the radio that there will be an American attack. I want to be able to sleep peacefully at night, knowing that if, God forbid, something happens, I’ll have what I need against it.”

The Knesset Homefront Preparedness Subcommittee was to hold a special meeting on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the distribution of gas masks.

Wall Street Informat - Flash Email -

August 30, 2013 - Bombs away - By Nick Guarino

Wall Street would have you believe the debate raging over Syria is, “will she or won't she?” But the truth is it's well beyond that stage.

The attack on Syria is starting now. As we speak, men and material are moving into position, along the Syrian border.

Their key objective is to locate and destroy Syria's WMD stockpiles. Wherever they may be, whoever may hold them.

That is easier said than done. Intelligence is the key. Making things especially tricky is the fact that Syria has turned into a no-man's land. It has many millions of refugees, and over a hundred thousand dead.

The various factions there have conflicting loyalties. They control ever-shifting portions of the country. Talk about international intrigue. Everyone has an agenda.

Problem is, who can the allies trust? What do they know? Who do we pay? And most important, how accurate is the info they give us?

Very soon now, the skies of Syria will light up. Cruise missiles will knock out Syrian defense systems, Assad's fledgling air force, and Assad's command/control centers.

Unfortunately, the main purpose or excuse for the mission -- knocking out the WMDs -- cannot be done with what I call “easy chair” warfare. “Easy chair” is where remote control drones and missiles take out the targets.

Oh they will do a fine job taking out known targets. Problem is the crazies have had a year to stash their arsenals. (Thank Obama's inaction for that.)

Which means it takes boots on the ground -- thousands of troops -- to find them.

Here's a chilling thought for you. Not all the WMDs will be found. So the question is, will the allied attack be early enough and effective enough to decisively change the equation?

The answer is “Hell yes, it will!” I'll tell you why.

While America and the rest of the world slept over Syria (and Iran), one nation followed their every step. Israel.

The Israelis have their backs up against the Mediterranean wall. Their very survival is at stake. So they have invested heavily in manpower, money, materials and even blood to know whose who and where.

They've done this to covertly keep a very close eye on Syria's WMDs. Israel is the unsung hero in this conflict.

As quietly as possible, the Allies have begun deploying their troops. (With direct assistance from Israel.) One of the largest international commando forces ever assembled has quickly been trained, equipped and positioned.

Their mission is to use Israeli intelligence and shall we say 'local' knowledge, to go into Syria, and take out the Israeli identified stockpiles of bio/chemical WMDs. To do that the targets must be softened.

Of course, the Syrians, Hezbollah, Muslim Brothers and other radicals will not give up these weapons without a fight.

WMDs and modern rockets are a huge game changer. They are the equivalent of replacing lances and swords with cannons and Gatling guns.

Think of biological/chemical WMDs as the poor man's nukes. A way even ill-equipped guerrilla forces can level the playing field against superior armies.

Small rockets, with even smaller payloads, have a very small kill circle. 100 meters or so.

But now the terrorists can tip these babies with Sarin nerve gas, mustard gas, or bio weapons. Relatively small arms become extremely effective weapons of indiscriminate killing. And are able ti kill over a much wider area.

You gas your enemies via missiles. Your troops march in with their gas masks and rubber chemical suits. It's fun, fun, fun till your daddy takes your nerve gas away.

A terrifying prospect arose. The very real potential that terrorists around the world would have chemical and biological WMDs within months.

That struck fear in the hearts of the western allies. It's the real reason they have joined forces. It's why they are finally attacking Syria.

Assad crossing the red line has nothing to do with it. He did that half a dozen times the past year. The U.S. did nothing.

But selling the WMDs -- to any terrorist groups that could come up with the money -- forced Obama's hands.

Assad gassing thousands of his own innocent people didn't matter. The U.S. has sat back and done nothing for far worse genocides than that. In Rwanda, e.g., the world watched as over a million people were butchered.

What got everyone's attention in Syria was something else. The fact that Assad was giving a product demonstration. His customers -- the world's terrorist groups and rogue regimes -- were lining up to get their share of Syria's extensive WMD arsenal.

Of course this intelligence has been withheld from the public. But it is what brought this party to the table. Assad could gas his own people with impunity. To export those weapons -- so they could strike targets in Europe and the U.S. -- is another matter altogether.

Few governments (if any) can defend their people against gas attacks. Imagine the uproar, when the public finds out their sleeping politicians did not act in a timely manner, to ward off this deadly threat?

I find the news reports laughable. They keep going through their “will she, won't she” routine. Let me clear that one up for you:

Yes, the world powers are going to Syria.

They are doing that as we speak. The attack is on. The attack is on. The attack is on.

Speaking of things the media has wrong: self-serving info from Wall Street claims the Syria conflict will send oil, gold and silver prices soaring -- for good. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Take oil. The Syrian battle zone is a long way from the Gulf oil exporters. The conflict in Syria CANNOT affect their production. It can't affect their delivery of product.

Wall Street eventually realized the trusting masses could turn on their Google Maps. People could see there was a lot of real estate between Syria and Saudi Arabia. So the Wall Streeters quickly changed their spin.

Now they say, “Yes, the war won't affect Saudi Arabian oil. But Iraqi oil will not make it to market.”

Complete, total baloney. Look at Google maps. You see that Iraq does have a long border with Syria. But Wall Street forgets to point out the key fact: Iraqi oil doesn't go through Syria or even near it. Iraqi oil goes north. Mostly through pipelines to Turkey. Nothing that goes on in Syria will affect even one drop of Iraqi oil.

The Wall Street spinmeisters also forget to tell you another essential fact. One of the largest armies on foreign soil -- the U.S. military -- is still in Iraq. It has massive manpower. An incredible stockpile of weapons, material and equipment.

Any crazies from Syria who try to enter Iraq and make mischief will meet Allah and their 72 virgins in short order.

This imminent war in Syria will be fast and decisive. It has no bearing on oil supply or demand.

Remember this other piece of nearly universal disinformation: the false spin that the attack, if it comes, will be sea-based.
As we speak, boots on the ground are getting ready to go into Syria. Both through Israel and Iraq. The allies are taking the battle to the enemy. It will be extremely well contained.

Remember, too, the real fundamentals of the oil market: supplies are soaring... while demand is plunging.

Yes, Syria hysteria will send oil prices higher. But for a very short time.

After that, the oil market reality will return. Oil will crash.

i.e. the present pop up in oil prices (which hopefully will go higher still) is an unprecedented SELLING opportunity.

As I write this, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude trades for just under $110 a barrel. An absurdly high price, that is very close to a peak.

Oil is about crash, back to its long-term, fair-market price of under $10 a barrel. Our oil trade could make a huge fortune.
Same with the precious metals. Gold has popped up to over $1400 an ounce; and silver to over $24. Another hysterical, knee-jerk reaction. An 180 degree incorrect assessment of what is really going on in the precious metals markets.
Gold and silver are two more markets the Wall Street crime syndicate is manipulating. Like oil, they are about to plunge back to reality.

Trading these moves in gold, silver and oil, can be tricky. This is an explosive situation. It's far from rocket science. But it does take solid market strategies.

We're going to establish new positions, in gold, silver and oil. As the markets go our way, we will likely add more.
Here are the key points I want you to take away from this report:

1) the fact that a major eruption -- in gold, silver and oil -- is upon us now;
2) it could send these three markets even higher;
3) when they fall back to earth, as they will real soon, they will give us some of the greatest profits I've seen in a decade.
