THE KINGS OF ISRAEL-JUDAH, BABYLON & PERSIA

In Light of Daniel's 70-Week Prophecy

DAYS OF THE ANCIENT KINGS

INTRODUCTION:

Biblical chronologies, when merged with historical records, can and should alter the way we see the Divine Imprint upon humanity.  I am not alone in the opinion that these signatures scattered throughout the Book are markers--even anchors-- which validate the authenticity of this Book’s inspiration and gift to the world—especially the world now best described as the City of Confusion. 

Notwithstanding every attempt, man still strives to avoid the absolute design orchestrated by the personification of Providence, that infinite Wisdom has for us and our discovery incorporated through carefully encrypted dates extant in history a set of calendric times and seasons which are moving inexorably to their foreordained conclusion—this is but a glimpse into that calendric perfection. These ancient markings are not randomly scattered throughout time; they stand as monuments revealing the Infinite Wisdom of our Creator Who longs to interact with His creation in assuring us there is more rhyme and reason to the endless chaos surrounding us than meets the superficial glance given by most—hope you enjoy this two-part journey . . . I think it may be unforgettable, for one, man himself becomes the very timepiece detailing through the millennia where and why the Almighty purposed to bring forth "in the fullness of time" His Son's First and Second Comings and how these Kings of Antiquity played such a vital role in marking the path both then and into our very immediate future.

Yes, you will find the use of "number" throughout this two-part series permeates--abundantly utilized, and drawing attention to the scarcely revealed fact that Daniel 8::13-14 discloses to us all that He has entitled Himself as the WONDERFUL NUMBERER.  He is not simply "that certain saint" - oh, no, He is far more - He is the "KEEPER OF SECRETS" and appears to hide Himself within this enigmatic phrase as the ANGEL PALMONI . . . yes, on the surface Daniel 8:13-14 seems to confuse the reader as to the very identity of THAT CERTAIN SAINT--or "that certain one" . . . who speaks and then is addressed by another holy one who asks this "certain one" who was speaking a most mysterious question concerning the "Vision of the 2300 Evening-Mornings" which only THE ANGEL PALMONI, the WONDERFUL NUMBERER, the KEEPER OF SECRETS, THAT CERTAIN SAINT or Holy One" can answer:

"Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who was speaking, 'How long will the vision be, concerning the daily sacrifice and the transgression of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled underfoot?' And he said to me, 'For two thousand three hundred days; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.'"

Only One has been called WONDERFUL in the Book of books, and I think you know of Whom I speak.  So, it is, in full reliance upon this WONDERFUL NUMBERER, this PALMONI, this KEEPER OF SECRETS, to this Holy One . . . upon Whom this writer relies in disclosing the vast complexities of "number" found within this present offering dealing primarily with the Kings of Israel, Babylon and, most certainly, the Kings of Persia and the "number" surrounding their placements in Holy Writ that reliance finds her mark.  Do forgive me--for if you are reading my writings for the first time, you may be intimidated to some degree because of the nigh "foreign" and repeated expressions which appear "prophetically speculative" in nature--and they are--but know this as S. Douglas Woodward once said in the Foreword of my text:  Signs in the Heavens and on the Earth...Man's Days are Numbered and he is Measured:

Jerusalem will be renamed.  It will no longer be known as the City of Peace, but the City where God dwells there (YHWH Shammah--the Lord is there).  The great truth expressed here as a conclusion to some of the Bible's most remarkable prophecies.  God dwells with men.  It has become the City of God.  It is in this wise that Krieger seeks to explore the relationship between the numbers of Scripture and the prophecies therein.  They are not mere numbers for numbers sake.  They are the mathematics of God that underscores His character, His plan, and His love for humanity.  These numbers testify to the inspiration of Scripture.  They tell of a God who is so precise in His planning and so pristine in His execution that He orders all matters in such a way to reinforce His infinite power and demonstrate His indefatigable will.  This is the true motivation behind the words of Douglas Krieger. (p. xxv, Signs in the Heavens, etc.).

From the outset, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the work done by fellow brethren who have contributed immensely to this brevity—the late J. R. Church of Prophecy in the News, Lambert Dolphin (whose library is altogether noteworthy in its fine expression of evangelical research into “those things that matter”), and to many of my associates here on Tribnet 7000, FB.  Complimenting this research are a number of charts which will clarify the content. 

This is simply a segment of what can only be described as an inexhaustible topic…having a general understanding of the Biblical chronologies would be very helpful and/or a background in history . . . our discussion commences in the Fall of King Zedekiah . . . the last King of Judah whose ignoble ending after an eleven-year reign ended the 464-year history (1050-586 BC) of both the United Kingdom of Israel (1050-930 BC—Kings Saul, David and Solomon--120 years), and that of her separation commencing with Judah's King Rehoboam and that of King Jeroboam which became the Ten Northern Tribes of Israel (aka, Ephraim, Samaria, Israel) who subsequently rebelled in 931/930 BC.

The traditional date of the final Siege of Jerusalem by King Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BC is preceded by a number of similar sieges and “captivities” of Jewish leadership which began the “Babylonian Captivity” of the Jews in 607 BC; hence, the commencement of the 70-year captivity as foreseen by Jeremiah (II Chronicles 36:21) and duly recognized by the Prophet Daniel in the immediate conquest of the Neo-Babylonian Empire by Darius the Mede (Daniel 9:1-2).  Also, this research purposefully gives "hot links" to all Scripture citing for the convenience of the reader, but also for the confirmation in context of the topic at hand.

It will also serve our purposes to encourage comparisons in our chronological investigations—for “all Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable” – do not contemplate for one minute that these fine details are naught but miscellaneous footnotes in the Divine scheme of things – to the contrary, within their confines are found some of the greatest treasures known to those who seek after His wisdom in “all things.”

EXAMPLES OF “DIVINE CHRONOLOGIES” - THE KINGS OF ISRAEL

We have already discussed the 464-year history of the 3 Kings of United Israel and the 20 Kings of Judah; but there appears to be a purposeful terminus of the separate reign of the 19 Kings of the Northern Ten Tribes (Israel/Samaria) whose last King Hoshea ended Samaria’s long march into Assyrian Captivity with the defeat of the Assyrian Army of Sennacherib whose 185,000-man army was about to lay siege to Jerusalem, held under the kingship of Judah’s Hezekiah in 712 BC. 

Lambert Dolphin’s wisdom in terminating the reigns of the kings of Samaria (his chart below) in the year 712 BC is commendable; for although the “Fall of Samaria” is expressed in the year 722 BC, their fight with the Assyrians persisted up through the horrendous defeat of Assyria in 712 BC, for those who had not been taken captive sought refuge with Judah.  However, that said, the official Fall of Samaria occurred some 10 years prior to the 712 BC date in 722 BC—virtually all Biblical chronologists concur with this date of 722 BC.

If we were to take the original date of 1050 BC as the commencement of the reign of the Kings of a United Israel as our starting point and subtract the 722 BC date for the Fall of Samaria we discover that the “Israelites” persisted in Samaria for 328 years (i.e., 1050-722 BC) juxtaposed to Judah’s persistence of 464 years (1050-586 BC).  When added together (328 years + 464 years) we arrive at a most fascinating number set:  792 years.

This number set of “792” is the very fractal/resemblance of the edge of the New Jerusalem in feet!  How’s that?  Revelation 21:16 gives the height, length and width of the heavenly New Jerusalem ultimately descending to the earth at 12,000 furlongs; which are calculated as one furlong is equal to 660 feet.[1] Thus, 12,000 Furlongs X 660 Ft. = 7,920,000 Ft. or “792” eliminating zeroes.  Either this is one incredible “kawinkadink” or it has been “divinely orchestrated” for our admonition and serious reflection!  Are we viewing the “Kingdom on Earth” signaling its ultimate manifestation as “The KINGDOM of this world has become the KINGDOM of our Lord and of His Messiah (Christ), and He shall reign forever and ever!” (Rev. 11:15)?

Furthermore, a most profound discovery is made when we add the kingships of Judah and those of Israel—but separately and together and then merge those number sets with the three united kingships of Saul, David and Solomon; to wit:

Kings of Judah:  20

Kings of Israel:   19

United Kingdom:  3

TOTAL:                    42[2]

The number set of “42” is of inestimable significance in that it connotes “kingship” and/or authority/jurisdiction– it is demonstratively expressed in the combined number sets of Matthew’s Gospel where Matthew presents the Messiah, the Christ, as King in his three genealogical segments:

“So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen generations” (Matthew 1:17).

Thus:  14 + 14 + 14 = 42. 

Likewise, this "14" insofar as the Kings of Israel and Judah concern, expresses itself in Joseph's virtual enthronement in Egypt with his 7 years of plenty and 7 years of famine (7 + 7 = 14); also, counting backwards, if you would, we find that I Kings 6:1 states that it was in the fourth year of King Solomon's reign that the foundation of the Solomon's Temple was laid--that was in the 480th year from the Exodus/Law (965 BC or 1445-965 BC = 480 years) unto that fourth year; therefore, counting back into David's reign we would discover the following:  4 years of King Solomon + 26 years of King David's reign = 30 years.  Since David reigned for 40 years in a United Kingdom of Israel, he would have been in the 14th year of his reign (40 - 26 = 14 or 14 + 26 = 40). This correlates chronologically with the second set of 400s (450 years) after the Exodus/Law when we read:

"The God of this people Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an uplifted arm He brought them out of it [Note:  This tells us the beginning of the 450 years.]. Now for a time of about forty years He put up with their ways in the wilderness [Note:  This confirms the start date of the 450 years is at the Exodus.]. And when He had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, He distributed their land to them by allotment [Note:  This was after the Conquest by Joshua of Canaan Land--some 15 years after Israel crossed the Jordan River in 1405 BC; therefore, it was in 1390 BC (Joshua 13:8-17:18--the land allotments).

In Joshua 14:7-10--Joshua was 40 years of age at the time of spying on the Good Land and now in Joshua 14:10 he says he is 85 years of age, having been kept for 45 years.  This math "word problem" is resolved indicating a 7-year time frame for conquering the Land . . . when Joshua spied out the Land the Children of Israel had been in the Wilderness nigh two years (Sorry, we didn't "fully" disclose this--isn't that just like these "math word problems?").  

So, we add to Joshua's age of 40 an additional 38 years (only) because he was 40 years of age two years into the Wilderness Journey when he spied out the Land.  This would have made Joshua at the crossing of the Jordan River commencing the Conquest of Canaan 78 years of age (40--age at spying; plus 38 = 78--entering Canaan Land).  Now, after the Conquest of Canaan, he says he is 85 years of age; thus, 78 + 7 years = 85 years of age.  The 45 years he was "kept alive" commenced two years into the Wilderness; therefore, 38 years (additional in the wilderness) + 7-years time needed in the Conquest of Canaan = 45 years.  DON'T YOU JUST HATE MATH?!  Nevertheless, the riddle is solved.  So, 7 years in the conquest of Canaan.  Joshua died at the age of 110 years (Joshua 24:29); therefore, between 85 and 110 elapsed 25 years (110 less 85 = 25 years).

The operative inquiry is this:  Do the Kings of the United Kingdom of Israel and the separate kingships of Judah and Israel over the course of these 464 years have a message to give us?  I think so.  Imagine, if you would, how is it that this could appear as a random number of kingships totaling 42; and how is it that this total would comport to Matthew’s summation of the “generations” of the Kingship of Jesus?  Furthermore, the “42” appears as “months” in Daniel’s 70th Week as 42 months (1,260 days/30 = 42 months), wherein issues relative to “authority” are of major consequence.

Finally, as if the reigns of the kings of Judah and Israel are randomly distributed to equal to 464 years (Judah – combined with the United Kingdom) and 328 years (Israel – combined with the United Kingdom) we discover this astounding number set which is marvelously displayed in the New Jerusalem—the ultimate manifestation of God’s Authority:

464 years for Judah (as factors so multiplied) = 4 X 6 X 4 = 96

328 years for Israel (as factors so multiplied) = 3 X 2 X 8 = 48

Combined as United Israel + Judah + Samaria/Ephraim = 96 + 48 = “144”

The “144” is the signature of the New Jerusalem in that her WALL is “144 Cubits” (Rev. 21:17) and each of her six faces upon her cubed, three-dimensional surfaces constitute 12,000 Furlongs X 12,000 Furlongs = 144,000,000 Million Sq. furlongs.

Is it another “kawinkadink” to conjecture that the very years of the reigns of the United Kingdom of Israel, along with the separate years of the Kings of Judah and Israel, when used as factors could equal in years the very signature expression of the New Jerusalem’s “144” – the ultimate manifestation of the Kingship of the Son of David Who is destined to rule the nations during the Millennium from Jerusalem (Ezekiel 37:24-25):

“David My Servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them.  Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children’s children, forever, and My servant David shall be their prince forever.”

KINGS OF ISRAEL BORDERS

FROM BABYLONIAN CAPTIVITY TO PERSIAN DECREES

The Fall of King Zedekiah appears to have occurred during the year 587-586 BC (the final assault on Jerusalem) according to the Lambert Dolphin Chart[3]. If, indeed, the Fall of Babylon and overthrow by Darius the Mede of Neo-Babylonian King Belshazzar (Daniel 5:30-31) was in the year 537 BC - then some 58 years transpired between King Zedekiah's demise and the Handwriting on the Wall when Belshazzar was exposed by Daniel the Prophet (Daniel 5:18-29) and his party were defeated by Darius the Mede in 538-537 BC.  Darius subsequently retired and gave the throne to his son-in-law, Cyrus the Great, Cyrus II.

If we were to count back from 537 BC to account for the 70 Years of Captivity recognized by Daniel in Daniel 9:1-2 it would have been from the reign of Darius the Mede who initially conquered Neo-Babylonia and defeated King Belshazzar – again, cir. 538-537 BC - would bring us (i.e., the 70-years Captivity) to the year 607 BC (537 BC + 70 years = 607 BC).[4] Yes, this date is disputed and, unfortunately, has fallen somewhat into dispute by its authority sponsored by the Jehovah Witnesses—but this time they “got it right.”

This would mean that there are some 11 years between Zedekiah's defeat in the year 586 BC (the traditional date for the Fall of Jerusalem) and King Zedekiah’s installment as “puppet king” under King Nebuchadnezzar in 597 BC.  The First Siege of Jerusalem was in the year 607 BC with the Second Siege being in 597 BC.[5]

Please note that Lambert Dolphin begins the captivity of Judah in the year 586 BC - I think that Lambert's research may be justified, however, in that the Fall of Jerusalem was the 9th of Av in 587/586 BC (the FINAL AND THIRD SIEGE OF JERUSALEM BY KING NEBUCHADNEZZAR); however, Jewish leadership was taken to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar in 607 BC at the initial siege of Jerusalem by the Babylonians.

It is critical that the first captives taken by the Neo-Babylonians occurred in 607 BC (2 Kings 24:1—where King Jehoiakim became the vassal of King Nebuchadnezzar for three years; indeed, 2 Kings Chapters 24-25 speak of the incessant attacks by King Nebuchadnezzar and subsequent captivities); therefore, 607 BC less 70 years of Babylonian Captivity = 537 BC, which is the date of the Fall of the Neo-Babylonian Kingdom wrought by the hand of Darius I (Daniel 5:30-31; 9:1-2); and, whereupon Daniel, the Prophet, recognized in that year the 70-year prophecy of the captivity by Jeremiah the Prophet would conclude (2 Chron. 36:21“To fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, and the land had enjoyed her Sabbaths.  As long as she lay desolate she kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.”).

This takes into account the initial siege of Jerusalem by King Nebuchadnezzar into Judea (607 BC) in order to correctly ascertain the commencement of Judah’s 70-year captivity.  Indeed, if we are to determine its beginning it is mandatory that we examine the date in which Babylon fell to King Darius the Mede who reigned but one year (538-537 BC) and was quickly followed by his son-in-law to whom he gave the Empire, Cyrus the Great (537 BC). 

CYRUS THE GREAT & JUDAH’S RETURN TO JERUSALEM

It was in the first year of his reign (537 BC) that Cyrus the Great sent Zerubbabal to Jerusalem with 49,697 people to rebuild the kingdom and the Temple (Ezra 1:1-11 through Ezra 2:1-70 – a total of 49,697 in two “groups” or 42,360 in group #1 + 7,337 in group #2 = 49,697 (in all) of whom 200 were men and women singers). 

It may be noted that 42,360 (Ezra 2:64) as “factors” in group #1 presents the “144” of the New Jerusalem:  4 X 2 X 3 X 6 = 144; whereas the reverse is presented in the second set (group) 7,337 as in 7 X 3 X 3 X 7 = “441.” (See:  Revelation 21:16-17)

Cyrus reigned for seven years (not three years as given in the Seder Olam Rabbah[6]) and died in the year 529 BC, leaving the throne to his son, Cambyses (aka, Artaxerxes), who ascended the throne in 529 BC.  Cambyses reigned 7 years, not a half-year as suggested in the Seder Olam Rabbah.

All this to say that if we are to count backwards 70 years unto the beginning of Judah’s Neo-Babylonian Captivity from the year 537 BC (the year of the Decree of King Cyrus the Great—Ezra 1-2), we will readily determine the initial siege of Jerusalem and consequent captivity of Judah’s leadership began in the year 607 BC – this is validated by scores of historical accounting.  (Please view chart below for the specific times that the Kings of Persia reigned--and other Biblical Dates of significance.)

There were multiple sieges against Jerusalem with the final assault in the year 586 BC, along with the overthrow of the 11-year reign of the puppet King of Judah, King Zedekiah.  May I insert that from 607 BC unto 586 BC there are some 21 years; which "21" becomes in and of itself a fractal/resemblance of the Hebrew Sacred Cubit's 2.1-foot dimension or 25.20 inches (more of this later on)--so that even in these assaults upon Jerusalem at the conclusion of Judah's insufferable failures, God was measuring what He possessed!  Although these are definitely 365.2425-day years (solar) they, nevertheless, in "prophetic years" (i.e., 360-day years) present to us:  21 X 360 = 7,560 or "756" which later you shall see has everything to do with the earthly expression of that Pillar at the GIZA of Egypt (Isaiah 19:19) and its 756-foiot base edge reflective of the "Earthly" manifestation of the New Jerusalem.  Thus, even in Jerusalem's demise she was expressing upon the earth precisely what God was really after:

"'My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people.  The nations also will know that I, the LORD, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.'" . . . "And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, 'Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people.  God Himself will be with them and be their God.'" (Ezekiel 37:27-28; Revelation 21:3).

But now speak we of the Temple's demise. The Jews speak of this date as the 9th of Av, 586 BC (Tisha b'Av,); indeed, both the First Temple (Solomon's and that of the Second Temple (aka, Herodian Temple) fell on the same date. King Zedekiah commenced his reign under Nebuchadnezzar’s authorization in the year 597 BC as the result of another siege against Jerusalem by the Neo-Babylonians.  This time King Nebuchadnezzar installed King Zedekiah as his “puppet king” whereupon King Zedekiah reigned for 11 years.  He rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar and was utterly deposed in the year 586 BC.

It is of substantial chronological credibility that the year 537 BC, under the Medo-Persian King, Cyrus the Great, that Judah’s Neo-Babylonian 70-Year Captivity ended, having begun in the year 607 BC—for it was in that year (537 BC) that a total of 49,697 in two “groups” or 42,360 in group #1 + 7,337 in group #2 = 49,697 [in all] of whom 200 were men and women singers (Ezra 2:64-65).  They left Babylon and returned to rebuild the Second Temple under the Governor, Zerubbabel with Joshua, the High Priest, who was eventually crowned as Israel’s first divinely established King-Priest (Zechariah 6).

The Reign of the 13/14 Medo-Persian monarchs starting with Darius the Mede who reigned scarcely one year (538-537 BC) during the initial Fall of Neo-Babylonia wherein Belshazzar, king of Babylon (Daniel 7:1) read the handwriting on the wall (Daniel 5:22-29) and “That very night Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, was slain.  And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old” (Daniel 5:30-31).   He then gave the throne to his son-in-law, Cyrus the Great.  Again, Darius retired, he did not die in that year as the Seder Olam Rabbah suggests.  Daniel 9:1-2 specifically states: 

“In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus [which means the “Mede” in Hebrew], of the lineage of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans—in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD, through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.”  (Ref. 2 Chron. 36:21)

The final Persian King (i.e., "King of Kings") was King Darius III who was crowned in 336 BC.  His reign was terminated with the colossal defeat suffered by the Persians via Alexander the Great in 331 BC.  Thus, his reign was from 336 BC to 331 BC.  Alexander the Great defeated Darius III at the Battle of Gaugamela (Arbela) in 331 BC. 

KING SOLOMON'S CHRONOLOGIES & THE 400's

These are NOT difficult chronologies to contemplate and are confirmed by multiple sources, but must be calibrated with the date of King Hezekiah's death in 697 BC and with both the dedication of Solomon's Temple in the fourteenth year of his reign in 955 BC (1 Kings 6:37-38) and the fourth year of his reign.  Solomon's Temple was dedicated in the eleventh year of his reign; however, we discover that the fourth year of King Solomon's reign is a most critical date given in 1 Kings 6:1

"And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv [Ayyar--April or May], which is the second month [after Nisan follows what is called Lyar today, the second month], that he began to build the house of the LORD."

The 480-years between the Passover in 1445 BC (a well-established time frame for the commencement of the Exodus/Law [Law came 50 days after the Exodus] and the fourth year of Solomon's reign would make that date 965 BC (1445 BC less 480 years = 965 BC).  If we count up to the eleventh year of his reign to the month of Bul or Cheshvan (the eighth month) we would find the following (965, 964, 963, 962, 961, 960, 959, 958, 957, 956, 955 = the 11th year).

Our establishment of the fourth year of Solomon's reign in the year 965 BC is predicated on a whole series of configurations demanding the utmost chronological understanding of the Bible's four sets of what I call "the 400's."  There are distinctly four sets of these 400-year time frames: 430 years from Isaac's Promise to the Exodus--Exodus 12:40-41; Galatians 3:15-18; 400 years (Promise and Journey before the Exodus--Acts 7:6; Gen. 15:13); then 450 years from Exodus to Samuel's anointing of David as King, the son of Jesse--the time of the Judges--Acts 23:17-23) and  then the 480 years from the Exodus to the fourth year of King Solomon's reign I Kings 6:1).  

The chart below will greatly assist in this magnification; with the understanding that the first 2,100 years of human history from Adam's Creation in the year 3975 BC (not Bishop James Ussher's 4004 BC date) takes us up through 21 patriarchs from Adam unto Isaac at the age of 52 years (See chart below the EXODUS-LAW - THE 4 SETS OF 400'S).  Thus, from 3975-1875 BC some 2,100 years have transpired.  Isaac was indeed the "Son of Promise" but it was his "S"eed (which is the Messiah/Christ found in Galatians 3:15-18 and Gal. 4:28) wherein we as believers are entitled to be "children of promise" (Gal. 4:28) in that we are IN Christ, the Seed.

 

FOUR SETS OF 400

 

Consequently, the time between Isaac's reception of the Promise (Genesis 26:1-6) and the Exodus/Giving of the Law was 430 years (confirmed by Exodus 12:40-41--"length of the stay in Egypt and Canaan"--LXX/Septuagint).  Isaac never journeyed out of Canaan Land, for he is the archetype of being IN Christ, the Good Land (our "position" of being IN Messiah is permanent); however, Jacob, after stealing the birthright left Canaan Land for Haran (Genesis 27:41-46; 28:10) some 30 years later (making Jacob 22 years of age for Isaac it is said to have been 60 years of age and begot Esau and Jacob--Genesis 25:26 . . . therefore, Isaac at 52 years of age waited for another 8 years and was 60 when Jacob was born + 22 years = 30 years [52 years of age; then 8 + 22 = 30 years having transpired]).  This simply means that the 430-years mentioned in Exodus 40-41 and Galatians 3:15-18 commenced at Isaac's age of 52 years and ended at the Exodus/Law--1875-1445 BC).  

JACOB'S JOURNEY - 400 YEARS

Confusion over the difference between the PROMISE and the JOURNEY (between 430 years and 400 years has befuddled Biblical expositors for centuries!).  The 400 years is confirmed in Acts 7:6:  "But God spoke in this way: that his descendants would dwell in a foreign land, and that they would bring them into bondage and oppress them four hundred years" (also:  Genesis 15:13) . . . the "affliction in the land" commenced with Jacob's JOURNEY out of Canaan Land and eventually back into Canaan Land and then, again, into Egypt--he literally left Canaan several times.  He was 22 years of age when he left Canaan Land and then spent 20 years in Padan Aram, and one year in his journey back to Canaan Land (a total of 21 years or 20 + 1 = 21 - Genesis 31:38:  "These twenty years I have been with you")--thus, Jacob was 43 years of age when he returned to Canaan Land (serving "14" years for Leah/Rachel and another 6 years under Laban and then one year to journey back into Canaan Land--thus 22 + 20 + 1 = 43 years of age.  Jacob, when he traveled into Egypt at the bequest of Joseph:

"So Israel (Jacob) dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen, and they had possessions there and grew and multiplied exceedingly.  And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years (same age as Joseph when he was taken into bondage in Egypt).  So the length of Jacob's life was one hundred and forty-seven years." (Exodus 47:27-28)

We know from Genesis 29:18, 20, 27 that Jacob served Laban "14" years and secured both Leah, the first seven years, and Rachel, the second seven years for wives; however, we are told, as well, thereafter that he served Laban an additional seven years laboring with Laban--but later it says he served Laban 6 years after the initial 14 years--so, there "seems" to be some ambiguity here?

"Then Jacob also went in to Rachel, and he also loved Rachel more than Leah.  And he served with Laban still another seven year" (Genesis 29:30) . . . this final set of 7 years should not be conflated with the second set of seven years but stands alone as an additional 7 years bringing our total to 21 years with Laban (7 + 7 + 7 = 21 years).  He then leaves Laban for the Good Land . . . his journey took a year from Haran to El Bethel with all his children, wives, servants and flocks.

So, on the one hand it appears as Jacob rehearses to Laban the 7 + 7 + 7 = 21 years (Genesis 29:20, 27, 30) there are 21 years involved in all of this; however, when we get to Genesis 31:38 we find that Jacob tells Laban it was 20 years he served Laban.  Which is it?  Is it 21 years or 20 years?  Answer:  BOTH!  If it is 21 years we must add an additional 1 year for the journey from Paddan-aram to El Bethel in any event; we find ourselves looking at 21 years and we're looking at 22 years--it is purposefully ambiguous!  So we could say that Jacob was 22 years of age when he journey out of the Land of Canaan and then spent another 22 years getting back to the Land of Canaan.  

He then spent another 86 years in the Good Land, the Land of Canaan, and at the age of 130 (Gen. 47:9) and lived until he was 147 years old; thus, spending another 17 years outside the Good Land, in the land of Egypt for a total of 44 years (22 + 22 = 44 years).  

From this our accounting of Jacob's JOURNEY breaks down as follows:

(1)     22 Years from birth unto the fleeing to Haran/Padan Aram after stealing the birthright.

(2)     20 Years serving Laban for Leah (7 years); Rachael (7 years) and working for Laban an additional 6 years.

(3)     1 Year traveling from Haran to El Bethel (but he tells Laban 20 years he served him)

(4)     86 Years in the Good Land

(5)     17 Years in the Land of Egypt

This means that out of Jacob's 147-year life he spent 22 years in Canaan Land and then another 21 (actually 22 years counting his journey from Paddan-aram to El Bethel and/or the initial comment that he served Laban another 7 years ove4r and above serving him 14 years for Leah and Rachel--Genesis 29:30) in Haran/Paddan-aram/Journey back to Canaan Land; then another 86 years in Canaan Land; and then the final 17 years of his life in Egypt.  So, from this we learn that Jacob spent in the Good Land some 109 years (22 + 86 = 108 years) and outside the Good Land he spent (22 + 17 = 39 years - therefore, 108 + 39 = 147 years.

There is far more to Jacob's JOURNEY than meets the naked eye . . . let us examine more carefully the breakdown of these years and how the 360-degree orbit of the earth around her sun and/or the 360 days in a prophetic year add a depth of meaning for their purpose; to wit:

Without combining the years, we discover:

(1)      22 years = 22 X 360 = 7,920 days/degrees - this "792" is the fractal/resemblance of the base edge of the New Jerusalem's 12,000 furlongs X 660 feet (1 furlong) = 7,920,000 feet or "792) (Rev. 21:16).

(2)      21 years = 21 X 360 = 7,560 days/degrees - this "756" equates to the base edge of the "Altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the LORD at its border" (lit. GIZA) (Isaiah 19:19) - The "earthly" reflection of the Holy City, New Jerusalem.  Even so, "20 years" (Genesis 31:28) brings us to 7,200 (20 X 360 = 7,200) which "72" is the very Name of God--Exodus 14:19-21; and the fact that 72 X 2 = 144.  

(3)     1 year = 1 X 360 = 360 days/degrees - when added to 756 equal to 792.  "360" are the number of degrees in a circle without beginning or ending and are wholly representative of the Eternal God.  First Jacob's name was change from Jacob to Israel when he wrestled with the MAN (Genesis 32:22-32) at Peniel/Penuel (i.e., the "face of God"); then Succoth and Shechem where he erected an altar, made sacrifice, and called the place:  El Elohe Israel:  God, the God of Israel (Genesis 33:18-20).  Finally, Jacob came to Isaac, at Hebron (aka, Kirjath Arba) where it is said (Jacob now being some 44+ years of age) that Isaac died at 180 ;years  of age--never having left the Land of Canaan!  Therefore, we discover that when Jacob, now Israel, came back into the Land of Canaan he was 44 years of age (22 + 22 = 44 years of age).  Since Isaac was 60 years of age when Jacob was born (Genesis 25:26), we can safely assume that when Jacob came into the Land of Canaan that Isaac was 104 years of age (or "14")--i.e., 60 + 22 + 22 = 104 years of age.  So, we see in Isaac the "14" as well.

Since Isaac lived to be 180 years of age; then, after Jacob entered the Land of Canaan, and Isaac being 104 years of age, Isaac would have lived an additional 76 years (104 + 76 = 180 years) . . . this means that Jacob, upon the death of Isaac, would have been 180 less 60 (the age of Isaac when Jacob was born) = 120 years of age; however, when Jacob entered back into the Land of Canaan at 44 years of age he would have, of necessity, lived an additional time of 76 years before Isaac died, making Jacob/Israel 44 + 76 = 120 years of age.  Jacob left the Land of Canaan to journey to Egypt when he was 130 years of age; therefore, he lived in the Land of Canaan 10 more years after the death of Isaac.  

From all of this we may deduce the following:

(1)   22 - The age Jacob was when he left the Land of Canaan to Laban

(2)   20/21 - The years he served Laban (7 + 7 + 6 = 20 years - Gen. 31:38)

(3)   1 - The additional year hidden within the 20 years or 7 + 7 + 7 (Genesis 29:30) or 21 + 1 = 22 years 

(4)   The age of Jacob upon re-entry into the Land of Canaan

(5)   104 - Isaac's age upon Jacob's re-entry into the Land of Canaan - the "14"

(6)   180 - The age of Isaac upon his death or "18"

(7)   120 - The age of Jacob upon the death of his father Isaac or "12"

(8)   76 - The number of years Jacob/Israel lived from the date of his re-entry unto the death of Isaac

(9)   10 - The number of years Jacob/Israel lived in the Land of Canaan after Isaac's death prior to going to Egypt

(10) 17 - The number of years Jacob/Israel lived in Egypt after he journeyed from the Land of Canaan to Egypt

(11)  39 - Jacob spent 22 years in Paddan-aram and the Journey and 17 years in Egypt for a total of 39 years.

 

There are a number of striking discoveries we can examine from these sundry allocations of years between Jacob and Isaac illuminating why the Bible would be so fastidious with these chronologies.

Examples abound.  For one, the 22 years of Jacob's journey to Paddan-aram and the 17 years in Egypt, totaling 39 years X 360 days = 14,040 or the "144" of the New Jerusalem.  This is all the more confirmed in that 22 years Jacob initially spent in Canaan Land and 22 years in Paddan-aram each confirm the base edge of the New Jerusalem 792 or 22 X 360 days/degrees = 7,920 (12,000 furlongs X 660 ft. = 7,920,000 ft. or "792" - Rev. 21:16). 

Naturally, 44 X 360 = 15,840 X 2 = 31,680 - this is the "foursquare" base edge of the New Jerusalem or 4 x 792 = 3,168 or "3168."  

The "14" or the "104" of Isaac's age (104 years of age) when Jacob re-entered Canaan Land whereby he lived another 76 years until he was 180 years of age and died is indicative that Isaac, as the archetype of the Messiah, IN CHRIST, is also King--as "King of Kings and Lord of lords."  Even so, the three sets of "14 generations" found in Matthew 1:17.  Truly, this is the MEASURE OF GOD in that Isaac at 104 (14) and 180 (18) when used as factors:  14 X 18 = 252 which is the fractal/resemblance of the Hebrew Sacred Cubit's 25.20 inches. or "252."

The "18" of Jacob can be seen in the fact that he lived outside of the Land of Canaan for 39 years (22 + 17 = 39--Paddan-aram for 22 years and 17 years in Egypt) which "sum of 39" connotes the "144" of the New Jerusalem (39 X 360 = 14,040 or "144"); therefore, and since he lived until the age of 147 (being 130 years of age when he was presented before Pharaoh and then lived an additional 17 years until the age of 147) - we then simply subtract from 147 the 39 years = 108 years he lived in the Good Land or "18."  What is fascinating to view is this:  18 X 360 = 6,480/2 = 3,240 which "324" is both the Wall of the New Jerusalem at 144 Hebrew Cubits X 2.1 ft. (equivalent to 25.20 inches) = 302.4 ft. or "324" or the perimeter of the Great Pyramid of Giza at 756 ft. base edge X 4 (foursquare) = 3024-foot perimeter or "324." 

The 120 years of age of Jacob upon the death of Isaac at 180 years of age is more than self-evident in that 120 years X 360 = 43,200 or the "432" symbol of the Sun of Righteousness (the sun's radius is 432,000 miles).  The relationship between the 12 and the 18 is evident and produces the very Name of God:  12 X 18 = 216 or 72 + 72 + 72 = 216.  When we tak 432 + 216 = 684/2 = 324.  The "324" once again is the Wall of the New Jerusalem at 144 X 2.1 ft. = 302.4 ft. or "324" and 756 (Great Pyramid of Giza) X 4 = 3024 = "324."  Thus, the relationship between Jacob and Isaac reveals the ultimate "Earthly" and "Heavenly" aspects of the New Jerusalem.  I find it somewhat interesting that Isaac - the archetype of Christ and being IN CHRIST (Galatians 3 and 4) is the "18" and is numerically "higher" than Jacob who is upon the earth at "12."  Again, Jacob's 120 years X 360 = "432" (Sun of Righteousness) and Isaac at 180 years X 360 = 64,800 or 648/2 = 324 - the New Jerusalem - but the New Jerusalem descends to the Earth; therefore:  432 + 324 = 756 = the base edge of the GPG - that Altar unto the LORD and a Pillar at the GIZA of Egypt - THIS is the relationship between Jacob and Isaac.

THE 2,100 YEARS AND THE FOUR SETS OF 400s

Finally, the four sets of 400s is in reference to the 450 years of the Judges found in Acts 13:16-21.  It is critical to note that this passage commences at the Exodus and extends unto Samuel the Prophet and beyond unto the fourteenth year of King David's reign in that Solomon's fourth year was in 965 BC; therefore, if we calibrate "minus 30 years" (i.e., 480 less 30 years = 450 years) we would take 4 years off of King Solomon's reign, leaving an additional 26 years extending into King David's reign--making it the fourteenth year of King David's reign being the 450th year from the Exodus--i.e., in the year 995 BC.  This can be calculated both ways (i.e., 965 BC plus 30 years = 995 BC or 1445 less 450 years = 995 BC).  

Two charts shall assist the reader in this understanding of the 2,100 years and the four sets of 400s - this is mandatory in going forward into the reigns of the Kings of Judah and Israel, as well as the 70-year Babylonian Captivity, and, as well as the Reign of the Persian Kings and their relationship to the Jews and ultimately to the 70-Week prophecy given to Daniel:

THE PATRIARCHS CHRONOLOGIES

Moreover, these chronologies are connected to the reigns of the Kings of both Judah and Israel (10 Northern Tribes) unto the final year of King Solomon's reign in the year 929 BC (i.e., unto the fourth year of his reign which was in 965 BC less 36 years, for he reigned for 40 years, is equal to the year 929 BC—thus the reign of King Solomon was 969-929 BC; 40 years). Lambert Dolphin's chart gives 931-930 BC as the dates  of Solomon's completion of his reign; however, if we consider that the "fourth year of Solomon's reign" (1 Kings 6:1) is in the year 965 BC (1445 BC less 480 years = 965 BC), then it would of necessity demand that an additional minimum of 36 years be taken from that date in that Solomon reigned over a United Israel for 40 years (1 Kings 11:42); therefore, 965 BC less 36 years = 929 BC.  That said, it is of trivial interest that the 929 BC date be synchronized with the 930 BC date because of the fluctuations in the disposition of the months--meaning, as was the case with Jesus, He lived a full 32-years of age and was "cut off" on His 33rd birthday--so was He 32 years of age or 33 years of age.  Yes, 33 years of age--but "barely!"  So, we could readily conjecture Solomon's reign ended in 930 BC but into 929 BC.

I Kings 6:1 tells us clearly that it was in the fourth year of King Solomon’s reign that Solomon commenced the building of the Temple (965 BC) – 480 years from the Exodus/Law unto the commencement of the Temple which was finished in the 11th year of Solomon's reign (965 BC less 7 years = 958 BC) - i.e., 1445 BC [Exodus/Law], less 480 years = 965 BC - in the eleventh year of Solomon's reign 969 to 965 [4th year] to 958 BC [11th year] or from 969 BC to 958 BC are 11 years).  Therefore, and once again, there are 480 years from the Exodus/Law of 1445 BC unto the fourth year of King Solomon’s Reign in 965 BC (1 Kings 6:1).  Furthermore, there are 430 years from the Exodus/Law unto the Promise of the Seed via Isaac in 1875 BC (i.e., 1445 BC + 430 years of Promise = 1875 BC).  Without equivocation, we can clearly state this from both Exodus 12:40-41 and Galatians 3:15-19 and Gal. 4:28-31 that “we brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise.” 

Thus, Isaac is the “child of promise” and it is via Isaac, that we believers find ourselves as “children of promise” via the SEED which “S”eed is Messiah, the Christ; therefore, we are IN CHRIST – yes, in the “S”eed and have, therefore, become “children of promise.”  Thus, can we ascertain the age of 1875 BC to be that of Isaac’s age at 52 years?  Yes, we can determine that 430 years from the Exodus/Law in 1445 BC is 1875 BC and that from 1875 BC, if Isaac received the Promise in Genesis 26:1-6, he would have had to have been 52 years of age.  We can determine this via counting the “begots” from Adam onward to Isaac (Genesis 5:3-32; 11:10-26; 21:5; 25:20, 26) are precisely 2,100 years; thus, from 1875 BC Isaac was 52 years of age when he received the Promise of a “S”eed whereby “all the nations of the earth shall be blessed” (Gen. 26:4) + 430 years = 1445 BC.

Perhaps we can observe a causal relationship between these two sets of 400 (430 and 400) on one side of the Exodus/Law and the two sets of 400 (450 and 480) on the other side of the Exodus/Law?  First of all there are 30 years which separate each of the sets (430 less 30 = 400 and 450 + 30 = 480).  Each side, and I know this sounds redundant; however, 30 years X 360 = 10,800 or the "18" of the New Jerusalem--on either side of the Exodus/Law.  

Why are these two sets of 400 on either side of the Exodus/Law when the first Passover, as well, was celebrated--and what did that Passover look forward to insofar as redemption concerns--for "if I see the blood I will pass over you." Certainly, were we to add 830 years (430 + 400) with 930 years (450 + 480 = 930 years) it will equal to 1760 year when multiplied by 360 days in a prophetic year will produce:  1760 X 360 = 633,600 or the famous 6...33...6 symbol of the suffering Savior (33) upon the Cross between two thieves "6...6" for "6" is man's number and Jesus is our Passover Lamb--is that why these years tally in such a way?  I think a very definitive case can be made for this possibility.  Is the Eternal God behind the difference of these number sets?  

When 830 years (430 + 400 = 830 years) is multiplied by the number of days in a prophetic year (for 360-days was the number of years prior to 712 BC) it will equal to 298,800 days; and when we do the same for 450 years + 480 years it will equal to 930 years X 360 prophetic days per year = 334,800. The difference between 334,800 less 298,800 in days is 36,000 or the "360" degrees of a circle without beginning or ending.  Then, if the Eternal God is involved in these differentials, why?  Because of this:  36,000 days X 24 hours per day = 864,000 hours which is a blatant fractal of the Sun's diameter of 864,000 miles.  

When 864,000 hours is multiplied by 60 minutes in each hour it equals to which when divided by the "144" of the New Jerusalem it will produce a product that is most recognizable:  864,000 X 60 = 51,840,000/144 = 360,000 or the 360 degrees of a circle or the Eternal God.  Finally, if we were to multiply these 51,840,000 minutes by 60 seconds per minute we would arrive at a product of 3,110,400,000 (as in billion) and when we divide that number by two sets of 144 (Revelation 7--Israel; and Revelation 14, the Heavenly Mt. Zion, the Elect from among the Gentiles) or by 288 it will equal to:  3,110,400,000/288 = 10,800,000 or "18" - the New Jerusalem!

Therefore, the Bible’s chronologies for the 6,000 years appear to be set in chronological stone in accordance with both the Bible’s accounting and history’s validation:

(1)   Creation of Adam to Isaac at 52 years of age:  3975-1875 BC - 2,100 years

(2)   Isaac, Child of Promise to the Exodus/Law: 1875-1445 BC – 430 years

(3)   Exodus/Law to the 4th Yr. of King Solomon’s Reign – 1445-965 BC – 480 yrs.

(4)   965-712 BC Solomon’s 4th year to Hezekiah’s Life Extended – 253 yrs. (252 yrs.)

(5)   712-607 BC (Hezekiah’s extension to Judah’s Babylon Captivity) – 105 yrs.

(6)   607-537 BC (70 Years of Captivity of Judah in Babylon) – 70 years.

(7)   537-329 BC (13/14 Kings of Persia) – 208 years.

(8)   329 BC to 33 AD (Alexander the Great to Messiah the Prince - 362 years.

(9)   33 AD to 2025 AD (Messiah the Prince to Second Coming; most likely) – 1992 years

I've purposefully interjected this account of the 400 years to highlight the JOURNEY of the 400 years of the Children of Egypt.

Amazing, isn’t it, but the total of these years adds to 6,000 (or 3975 BC to 2025 AD = 6,000 years) – individually one can add up the years and they will total 6,000 years.

Therefore, it is utterly precise from the year 607 BC when the Babylonian Captivity commenced unto 537 BC when Cyrus the Great decreed the return of the Jewish Remnant of some 49,697 under Zerubbabal to Jerusalem to initiate the building of the Second Temple (Ezra 1:1-4). 

The reign of the Kings of Judah from Hezekiah’s death in 697 BC to 586 BC (the final siege of Jerusalem and the demise of King Zedekiah) is accorded precisely 111 years – that is exactly what we discover with the dates of the final 7 kings of Judah after the death of King Hezekiah in 697 BC (Manasseh 55 years; Amon 2 years; Josiah 31 years; Jehoahaz 3 months; Jehoiakim 11 years; Jehoiachin 3 months; Zedekiah 11 years for a total of 110 years and 6 months or rounded up to 111 years or 697 BC unto 586 BC – the “official year” of the Fall of Jerusalem and the termination of the 11-year reign of King Zedekiah of Judah); however, the “official Captivity of Judah” commenced in the initial Siege of Jerusalem in the year 607 BC and ended with the Decree under Cyrus the Great in the year 537 BC = 70 Years of Captivity (607 BC less 70 years = 537   BC.[7]

THE REIGN OF THE 13/14 PERSIAN KINGS

The reigns of the Persian Kings from Darius the Mede unto Artaxerxes V (13/14 kings) from 537 BC unto 329 BC is backed by both the meticulous records of the Medo-Persians, as well as archeological validation.  The initial reign of Darius the Mede was exceedingly a short time frame within one year 538-537 BC and is considered to have been an immediate victory over the Neo-Babylonians and then he submitted his Empire upon retirement to his son-in-law, Cyrus the Great (Cyrus II), in 537 BC. 

Ultimately, after Cyrus the Great, an additional 11 “King of Kings” reigned over the Medo-Persian Empire; however, with the defeat of Darius III (the 13th King of the Medes and Persians from 538-537 BC) by Alexander the Great in 331 BC at the Battle of Gaugamela (also called the Battle of Arbela near Dohuk, Iraqi Kurdistan)[8] the true “kingly line” was terminated. However, a rogue king, the cousin of Darius III and one of the divisive satrap of the Empire, Artaxerxes V (aka, Bessus), reigned in his stead after having Darius III killed.  Alexander the Great pursued the defeated Darius III only to discover Bessus’ treachery—which infuriated Alexander, who in turn had Bessus tortured to death in 329 BC.  Suffice it to say, Artaxerxes V is not considered one of the Persian King of Kings.

This is a clear accounting of the chronologies of the 13/14 Persian Kings which gives us another clear accounting of the chronologies—they are exceedingly accurate.  From 329 BC unto 1 BC/1 AD (the birth of Jesus with the dates from 1 BC/1 AD until the present as of 2017 AD) can be totally authenticated to be accurate whether we use the Gregorian or Julian Calendars with the Julian date of 1 April 33 AD to be on a Wednesday, 13/14 Nisan (Passover Preparation day/Passover day).

The reigns of the Persian Kings provide little disputation in their relationship from the defeat of King Belshazzar (Daniel 8) by Darius the Mede in 538-537 BC – therefore:

(1)   607-537 BC – 70 Years of Judah’s Neo-Babylonian Captivity

(2)   537-329 BC = 208 Years

KINGS OF PERSIA

THE PERSIAN KINGS – 538-329 BC

(1)     Darius the Mede - 538-537 BC.

The 70 years Captivity of Judah began in 607 BC and ended in the reign of Darius the Mede in 537 BC…Daniel 9:1-2: “In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus [Heb.], of the lineage of the Medes [i.e., son of Xerxes a Mede], who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans…in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem” (2 Chron. 36:21).

(2)     Cyrus the Great - 537-529 BC.

Judah’s Captivity Ends) – Daniel 10:1 – “In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia” (Cyrus the Great reigned over Babylonia and his Empire from there 7 years—he commenced the Achaemenid Empire (550–330 BC) but he took over the Empire including Babylon in 537 BC…Daniel received the prophecies of Persia and Greece in the third year of the reign of Cyrus the Great (537 BC less 3 years = 534 BC); to wit:

But I (the Archangel Gabriel) will tell you what is noted in the Scripture of Truth.  (No one upholds me against these [i.e., the “spiritual principalities” over Persia and Greece (Dan. 10:13 and 20)] except Michael your prince. Also in the first year of Darius the Mede (538-537 BC), I, even I, stood up to confirm and strengthen him [antecedent of “him” is Darius the Mede]).  And now I (Gabriel) will tell you the truth:  Behold, three more kings will arise in Persia [Artaxerxes Cambyses – 529-522 BC; Darius II, Artaxerxes the Great - 521-485 BC; Xerxes – 485-465 BC], and the fourth [i.e., the “fourth” inclusive of Cyrus the Great of Daniel 10:1—or Dan. 11:1 – four following Darius the Mede in Dan. 11:1 as in this order:  (1) Cyrus the Great; (2) Artaxerxes (Cambyses), (3) Darius II or Artaxerxes the Great and (4) Xerxes] shall be far richer than them all; by his strength; through his riches, he shall stir up all against the realm of Greece.” 

NOTE:  King Xerxes (the fourth inclusive of Cyrus the Great), the son of Vashti, not Esther, launched a battle against Greece with 1,700,000 soldiers; 80,000 horses, plus camels, and chariots.  He is the famed Xerxes in the film “300.”  Indeed, he stirred up all against the realm of Greece at the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC.

(3)     Artaxerxes (Cambyses or Cambyses) – 529-522 BC – the Second King

Artaxerxes/Cambyses is the Second King mentioned in Daniel 11:1-2.  The First King is considered a “two in one” (twofer) as in Darius the Mede (538-537 BC) who retired and gave the kingship to his son-in-law, Cyrus the Great (Cyrus II) who reigned for 7 years (537-530 BC).  The Second King is this Artaxerxes/Cambyses.  Put another way:

#1 – Darius the Mede/Cyrus the Great (two in one/twofer)

#2 – Cambyses/Artaxerxes

#3 – Darius II – Artaxerxes the Great (Married Queen Esther)

#4 – Xerxes (famed Persian ruler of the famed film “300”) – Who stirred up Greece as per Daniel 11:1-2 – the “Fourth King” of the Third King after the first king, Cyrus the Great (or 1 + 3 = 4).  “Also in the first year of Darius the Mede, I, even I, stood up to confirm and strengthen him. And now I will tell you the truth:  Behold, three more kings will arise [thus:  1 + 3 = 4] in Persia, and the FOURTH shall be far richer than them all, by his strength, through his riches, he shall stir up all against the realm of Greece [this is Xerxes of the famed “300” film].

There is some disputation concerning the identity of Cambyses.  His Persian name was Cambujieh and some say that his Bible name was Ahasruerus (a name used in Ezra chapters 4 through 6; and that “Pseudo Smerdis” (aka Persian name of Berooyeh Doroughi) was also called Artaxerxes—in other words two separate people (i.e., Cambyses and Pseudo Smerdis or two Bible names for two separate people:  Ahasruerus and Artaxerxes).  However, there seems little credibility to this argument in that Cambyses was, in fact, Artaxerxes—the same Artaxerxes spoken in Ezra 4:7-13 and the same Artaxerxes/Cambyses/Ahasuerus who caused the building of the Second Temple to cease as a result of the letter sent by Bishlam, Mithredath, and Tabel; indeed, this King Cambyses/Artaxerxes/Ahasruerus sent a letter demanding that the rebuilding of the Second Temple cease and desist operations immediately (Ezra 4:17-22) and the work did cease (Ezra 4:23-24) by force of arms. [9]

Interestingly of note, Ezra 4:24 states at the conclusion of ceasing the work on the Second Temple the following:  "Thus the work of the house of God which is at Jerusalem ceased, and it was discontinued until the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia."  In that this is Darius II (aka Artaxerxes the Great and also Ahasruerus) who reigned from 521-485 BC; therefore, the second year of his reign would have been in the year 520 BC.

Once again for clarity:  Artaxerxes/Cambyses (aka Ahasuerus [Ezra 4:6-7--but not the Ahasuerus married to Queen Esther]) is addressed a lengthy letter (Ezra 4:6-22) written by Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabel, and the rest of their companions (Ezra 4:7) who had been frustrated in the work of building the Second Temple by “locals” who incessantly discredited their efforts before the Persian kings.  King Cambyses acceded to this letter by halting the construction of the Second Temple at the very beginning of his reign in 529 BC.  Actually, these characters never ceased during the 21 years while the Temple was under construction to stop its building; for we read:

"Then the people of the land tried to discourage the people of Judah.  They troubled them in building, and hired counselors against them to frustrate their purpose all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia (4 kings or from 538-520 BC . . . the second year of the reign of King Darius II, Esther's King, the Second Temple resumed construction--520 BC). (Ezra 4:4-5)

Also, it was "in the beginning of his [Ahasuerus/Artaxerxes/Cambyses] reign; they [Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabel] wrote an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem (Ezra 4:6) which ultimately led Cambyses to terminate the building of the Second Temple; therefore, if it were "in the beginning" of the reign of King Cambyses, then it would have been in the year 529 BC.  Although history bears witness that King Cambyses reigned for 7 years, it was between 529 BC and 522 BC which appears as "8" years, but it is not eight years but seven years in that "portions" of 529 BC and 522 BC make his reign 7 years.

However, that said, and since we have ascertained that the beginning of the foundation's construction of the Second Temple was 21 years in its building (536-515 BC) and, therefore, it commenced one year after the Jews arrived in Judea. Consequently, from 536-515 BC (21 years) it was under construction or being delayed.  We can now pinpoint that from 536-530 BC the Jews were working on the Second Temple's building but ceased at the beginning of the reign of King Cambyses in 529 BC.  Imagine, as Cyrus the Great departs from the scene, a new king arises, Cambyses/Artaxerxes, and discontinues the project - how fickle are these kings!  Indeed, J.R. Church records that Cambyses, son of Cyrus, "ascended the Medo/Persian throne in 529 B.C.  He was mentally unstable, married two of his sisters, killed his brother, conquered Egypt, and then went stark raving mad.  He came back to Persia and died of an accident with his sword in 522 B.C." (J. R. Church, Daniel Reveals the Bloodline of the Antichrist, p. 246.).

Thus, the Jews worked for 7 years (536, 535, 534, 533, 532, 531, 530) on the Second Temple and were forced to cease and desist somewhere within 529 BC (529 BC [portion], 528, 527, 526, 525, 524, 523, 522 BC [portion] = 7 years).  They did not restart until the SECOND YEAR of the reign of Darius II/Artaxerxes the Great/Ahasuerus somewhere in 520 BC (the second year of his reign according to Ezra 4:24; therefore: 520, 519, 518, 517, 516, 515 = 6 years). The Second Temple was completed in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius II, etc., in 515 BC (Darius II:  521-485 BC or a 36-year reign).  

From this we learn that virtually the entire reign of King Cambyses (7 years - from 529-522 BC) no work was done on the temple and that an additional year of the reign of Darius II it lay doormat; thus, 7 years + 1 year = 8 years there was no work being done on the Second Temple, until the commencement of the second year of the reign of King Darius II (commencing in 520 BC). Again, if the work on the Second Temple began in the second year of the reign of King Darius II and was finished in the sixth year of his reign, we can, therefore, ascertain that the years 520, 519, 518, 517, 516, 515 were utilized for completing the Second Temple (6 years).

Thus, we discover the following in the building of the Second Temple:  We are confronted with a "mini-gap" if you would within the context of these 21 years and that GAP is 8 years:

      Total:  7 + 8 + 6 = 21 years

THE HEBREW SACRED CUBIT – 25.20 Inches or 2.1 Feet

Within these 21 years are embedded, I affirm, serious "yearly considerations" which may illuminate our understanding as to WHY the Almighty permitted such precision in the first place.  First of all, there is the very "21" symbolizing the measurement in feet (2.1 feet) of the Hebrew Sacred Cubit in that 25.20 inches/12 inches is equal to 2.1 feet or "21." Please view my article on World Mysteries entitled:  “The Dimensions of Paradise in Light of the “Sacred Cubit”. But within this 21 are major considerations; to wit:

ANALYSIS OF THE 21 YEARS (536-515 BC) - COMPLETING THE SECOND TEMPLE

(#1)     7 Years building = 360 degrees (orbits of the earth around the sun)  X 7 years = 2520 degrees

(#2)     8 Years cease and desist = 360 degrees X 8 = 2880 degrees/2 = 1440 degrees

(#3)     6 Years resume building = 360 degrees X 6 = 2160 degrees

(#4)     7 X 8 X 6 = 336 seen as "33...6" or "33" and "6"

(#5)     2520 + 2880 + 2160 = 7,560 or 21 years X 360 degrees = 7,560 degrees

(#6)     13 years of building minus 8 years of non-building = a net of 5 years X 360 degrees = 1,800 or "18"

#1     From these miscellaneous calculations seen within the "21" we may discover the divine intent is initially under the "measurement of God" in that the first 7 years equates to 2,520 degrees or the very reflection of the Hebrew Sacred Cubit of 25.20 inches.  God Almighty commenced the building of the Second Temple under His ownership and design - time and space collaborated in these first seven years; and, although the letter sent from King Cambyses/Artaxerxes temporarily terminated the task (Ezra 4:6-24) it was pre-ordained that this "frustration" was divinely orchestrated for a specific recognition that the Almighty's imprint was upon the "House of God."  So when we consider that "our ministry" or a situation in our lives seems wrought of God and abruptly terminates--all is NOT lost, because the hand of God is allowing its end because He has a new beginning planned . . . 

#2. . . leading us to our 8-year GAP in the building of the Second Temple.  The number "8" reflects both resurrection and infinity.  Eight were saved in Noah's Ark and Jesus arose on the "Eighth Day" in that from Nisan 10 (Palm Sunday when the arrival of "Messiah the Prince" took place in Jerusalem) unto Nisan 17 (Resurrection Sunday morning when He made Himself known, for He is the Light of the World) are 8 days over a Hebrew 7-day period of time in that Nisan 10 constituted but 12 hours and Nisan 17 constituted but 12 hours and then, of course the 6 days in between [144 hours] - so that 144 hours + 24 hours = 168 hours/24 hours = 7 full "days").  Whatever truly is of God must be laid on the altar (Isaac) and come back in resurrection--if it truly is a "work of the Lord."  These 8 years prove that very Divine concept of death and resurrection.  If God is truly in it--then He will raise it up in resurrection when it passes through death for "I am the resurrection and the life!"

 

These 8 years X 360 = 2880 degrees.  What could this possibly entail?  What is "coming out in resurrection"?  It is none other than "288" which we know are two sets of "144" - the same two sets of "144" that we see in the New Jerusalem's Wall of "144" Cubits (Rev. 21:17) and on all "her" faces for 12,000 furlongs X 12,000 furlongs = 144,000,000 sq. furlongs. But more so, Revelation 7 declares the sealing of the 12 Tribes of Israel constituting the first set of 144,000 upon the EARTH (Rev. 7:1-8) and the second set of 144,000 seen in the HEAVENS in Revelation 14:1-5 who have the "Seal of the Father upon their foreheads" and readily represent that "Elect from among the Nations a people for His Name" (Acts 15:14-21) - wherein both the 12 Tribes of Israel and the 12 Apostles of the Lamb are viewed in the Holy City, New Jerusalem for the 12 Gates of the City bear the names of the 12 Tribes of Israel and her 12 Foundations bear the names of the 12 Apostles of the Lamb.  Thus - they are of the FIRST RESURRECTION (Rev. 20:6); even so, out of death comes LIFE and more abundantly:  2 X 144 = 288.

#3     The six-year resumption of the building of the Second Temple is wondrous!  Why?  Because, God created may on the SIXTH DAY and when He did so, His work was finished!  But was it?  Certainly, it was (Gen. 1:26) until Man came along and we find that that "He created him; male and female He created them" (Gen. 1:27). We learn from Genesis 2:8-25 that Eve was taken from Adam's side--so, there is a WOMAN included in this creation of MAN.  So, what is this 2,160? This number connotes VICTORY--in this case, victory in the completion of the Second Temple for is this not the WOMAN (6) brought to the MAN (7).  Adam was complete and the Almighty rested from all His labors on the Seventh Day (2520) but then God put the man asleep (a picture of death and resurrection) and out of his side came forth Eve--she is his compliment and wholly identified with him in RESURRECTION.  It would be given to Even, the Protoevangelium in Genesis 3:15 where we read:  "I will put enmity between you (Satan, the Serpent, being addressed) and the woman (Eve), and between your seed (fallen man) and her Seed (the Messiah); He (the Messiah) shall bruise your (the Serpent's) head, and you (Satan) shall bruise His heel (the crucifixion of the Messiah)."

YES!  The Woman's Seed shall bruise the head of the Serpent and cast out the interloper's seizure of earth's habitat--for the "Earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof." Where can we visualize such a conquest over the powers of darkness?  

"Now a great sign appeared in heaven:  a WOMAN clothed with the sun, with the MOON under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars" (Rev. 12:1).

Here we have the WOMAN, the SUN, the MOON and the 12 Constellations representative of the Mazzaroth or so-called Zodiac (Job 38:32).  She is clothed with the SUN for "the Sun of Righteousness" (Mal. 4:1-2) is her very attire--she has no righteousness of herself, only Him!  With that Righteousness clothing her she reflects the LIGHT of the Sun upon the DARKNESS of the MOON beneath her feet; thus, illuminating the Moon which has absolutely no light of its own.

Remember, Eve was "birthed" in RESURRECTION.  Is not this the WOMAN of Revelation 12 in that the same Serpent, Dragon, is seen attempting to devour her Seed (the Male Child) but the Man-child will BRUISE the Serpent's Head--even so, that same Dragon-Serpent will seek to pursue the Seed of the Woman for we read:

"And the Dragon was enraged with the WOMAN, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus." (Rev. 12:17)

But the VICTORY belongs to the WOMAN and her offspring, for it is said beforehand:

"And they overcame him (the Serpent-Dragon) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death" (Rev. 12:11).

Therefore, the MOON is beneath her feet - and what is the MOON's dimension?  For by the brightness of her glow all darkness upon it is banished!  Even so, the "2160" appears in the final 6 years wherein the Second Temple is completed: 6 years X 360 degrees = 2160.  She has the VICTORY over the darkness and, consequently, is bedecked, wearing the VICTOR's crown:  THE WREATH OF THE 12 CONSTELLATIONS--the Stars above whose great Processional of the Equinoxes itself bears 12 distinct (traditional) astronomical time frames each bearing 2,160 years in length, so that 12 constellations X 2,160 years = 25,920 years - thus, our solar system shall transverse its galaxy every 25,920 years (if you would) but the "heavens declare His glory" and SHE wears the Victor's crown over all "principalities and powers" who dwell in "high places" (i.e., the Mazzaroth) - eventually, he (the Dragon-Serpent) whose "tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth" to harass the "offspring" of the Woman (principalities and spiritual powers) shall be cast to the earth; to wit:

"So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him" (Rev. 12:9).

The one-third, and their Dragon-Leader, shall be cast to the Earth to "have it out" with the Woman's OFFSPRING during the 42-month reign of the Beast who, as Antichrist, has wrought the parody of the Resurrection by incarnating himself, as "Satan entered Judas Iscariot" (Luke 22:3) so shall he inhabit the body of the Antichrist at the Abomination of Desolation (Daniel 9:27).  Yet, the dye has been cast:  THE WOMAN OF REVELATION 12 WEARS THE VICTOR'S WREATH!  Yes, she shines forth the Righteousness of the Sun of Righteousness upon the MOON BENEATH HER FEET.  There is no earth, per se, in view here.  Why?  Because she is the very manifestation of that possession owned by the Sun of Righteousness.  Glorious view is this!  The Earth is there for the EARTH IS THE LORD's and as Eve came forth from Adam--even so, SHE, THE WOMAN, has come forth from the Last Adam . . . 

"And so it is written, 'The first man Adam became a living being.' The last Adam became a life-giving Spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.  The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.  As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the HEAVENLY MAN, so also are those who are heavenly.  And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the HEAVENLY MAN." (1 Cor. 15:45-49)

It is this HEAVENLY MAN whose earthly body shall give way to the HEAVENLY MAN and the consequent HEAVENLY VICTORY over death, over the MOON beneath her feet.  Yes, it is she who is crowned with the VICTOR'S WREATH:  "O Death, where is your sting?  O Hades, where is your victory?" (1 Cor. 15:55) . . . "But thanks be to God, who gives us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Cor. 15:57).  This is the meaning of the "2160" - to God be the glory!

#4     7 X 8 X 6 = 336.  The disparity in these three sets of years comprising the "21" as factors produce the incredible result of "33...6" which we have repeatedly discovered to our joy that Messiah "33" was crucified, "cut off" for us and our salvation on His 33rd Passover Day birthday on 1 April 33 A.D. Julian Calendar date on 13/14 Nisan, Wednesday/Thursday.  All the 21 years of the Second Temple bespeak of Messiah's redemption of MAN (whose number is "6").  This in turn, once again, produces the perfection of God's Measurement in that 3 X 3 X 6 = 54 wherein 5040/2 = 2520 or the "25.20" in inches of the Hebrew Sacred Cubit.  This is the "measure of a man, that is, of an angel" = for God's Measurement as seen in Revelation 21:17"Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel" - which alludes to the HEAVENLY MAN - for SHE, the New Jerusalem, shall descend from the HEAVENS having "the glory of God" (i.e., the HEAVENLY MAN) - for we read:

"Come, I will show you the WOMAN, the Lamb's Bride (lit.). And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the Holy City Jerusalem (lit.), descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God.  Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal" (Rev. 21:9b-11).

Repeatedly, this HEAVENLY MAN, is presented as the WOMAN, because the Almighty has but one perspective - to be in RELATIONSHIP with His supreme creation: MAN - MAN who is brought through death into resurrection - from the earthly into the heavenly and then back (descending) to earth once again, FOR THE EARTH IS THE LORD'S.  So great is the WOMAN's victory!  She is in eternal relationship with her Groom, the Life-Giving Spirit, the Messiah, her Deliverer, her Righteousness with which she is clothed and through Him she dispels all the darkness of the Moon beneath her feet and turns the Moon into the very reflection of the Sun of Righteousness in that if the Moon be drawn a square around itself each foursquare edge shall reflect its 2,160-mile diameter or 4 X 2,160 = 8,640 miles or "864" which is a fractal/resemblance of our Sun's Diameter of 864,000 miles.

Even so, the very 2160 bears the supreme SIGNATURES of the measurements of the New Jerusalem in that 216 X 528 (eliminating zeroes both in miles and feet) = 114,048 "seen as" 1...144...8" or "144" enclosed within "18" - therefore, the New Jerusalem "18" (12,000 furlong edge X 660 ft. [one furlong = 660 ft.] = 7,920,000 ft./5,280 ft. (one mile) = 1,500 linear miles X 12 edges of a cube = 18,000 miles or "18"); and, of course, her wall is measured as "144 Cubits" (Rev. 21:16-17).  Surely, SHE HAS THE VICTORY . . . for let us take the "18" and the "144" as factors:  18 X 144 = 2,592 and behold:  SHE WEARS THE GARLAND OF VICTORY and she shall display to the 25,920 (the Mazzaroth) her glory forever and ever!  Glory to God in the highest!  So marvelous is the workmanship of Messiah "33" upon MAN "6."

#5     2520 + 2880 + 2160 = 7,560 or 21 years X 360 degrees = 7,560 degrees   . . . The three sets of days and or years (orbits of 360 degrees around the sun) are reflected in these number sets of 7 years, 8 years and 6 years wherein each of their singular configurations produce a composite of 7,560 degrees or "756."  This "756" is most unusual in that it readily reflects the EARTHLY EDGE of the HEAVENLY reflection of the New Jerusalem.  What do I mean by that remark? 

There are NOT two Holy Cities in the ultimate manifestation of God's Glory!  There is but one with two distinct aspects. The Holy City, Jerusalem (i.e., the New Jerusalem of John's Revelation and the Holy City of Ezekiel's Vision found in Ezekiel 40-48) are the SAME HOLY CITY, but from two perspectives and/or DIMENSIONS:  The Earthly and the Heavenly - for Ezekiel's Vision is clearly manifested upon the Earth; whereas, John's Vision of the Holy City, Jerusalem, descends from the Heavens unto the very Earth (she does not abide suspended in orbit around the Earth as some misinformed evangelical proponents of keeping "Israel and the Church" separated throughout the Millennial Reign of the Son of David surmise (that for another discussion)!

The prime dimension of the HEAVENLY NEW JERUSALEM that shall descend to the Earth is measured as 12,000 furlongs at 660 ft. per furlong X 12,000 = 7,920,000 linear feet or "792" but what is this "756" other than the difference between the two dimensions is "36" which reflects the degrees of a circle or 360 degrees and is therefore reflective of the Eternal God, without beginning or ending?  The Millennial scene set forth in Isaiah 20 bespeaks of a most peculiar monument which appears in the form of an ALTAR but whose presence harkens back to antiquity--for we read:

"In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar o the LORD at its BORDER (literally, the word "border" means GIZA) . . . And it will be for a sign (Hebrew:  "OTH" which can mean, as well, MONUMENT) and for a witness to the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the LORD because of the oppressors, and He will send them a SAVIOR and a MIGHTY ONE, and He will DELIVER them. Then the LORD will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know the LORD in that day, and will make sacrifice and offering; yes, they will make a vow to the LORD and perform it.  And the LORD will strike Egypt, He will strike and heal it; they will return to the LORD, and He will be entreated by them and heal them.  In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptian will serve with the Assyrians.  In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria--a blessing in the midst of the land, whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, 'Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.'" (Isaiah 19:19-25)

This passage, as well, should be understood within the context of Jeremiah's insights:

"You have set signs (Heb. OTH - literally "monuments") and wonders in the land of Egypt, to this day, and in Israel and among other men; and You have made Yourself a name, as it is this day." (Jeremiah 32:20)

In my text, "Signs in the Heavens and on the Earth, Man's Days are Numbered, and he is Measured" I speak of these "monuments upon the earth" both in Egypt, and in Israel, and then, as well, "among other men."  God has placed, if you would, His MONUMENTS upon the Earth and they are LITERAL, but have major "spiritual" implications.  Such is the Altar at the GIZA of Egypt erected by none other than Shem and his progeny cir. 2819-2319 BC for Shem lived 500 years after the Flood (2819 BC--Genesis 11:11).  In the course of this 500 years was built the Great Pyramid of Giza (GPG) with amazing calculations whereby today it is the most measured artifact of antiquity upon the face of the earth!

Its pyramidion (capstone) may never have been - for its initial design of 480.9 Ft. tall bespeaks of that "Altar unto the LORD at the Giza of Egypt."  Her base edge, as measured during the 1880s by the world-renewed Egyptologist of the British Museum, Sir William Flinders Petrie, and perhaps considered the father of modern archaeology, as well as metrology (measuring the monuments of antiquity), was determined to be 756 linear feet.

This, in turn, in that this Pillar is foursquare akin to the "foursquare" of the New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:16) is, therefore, 4 X 756 ft. = 3,024 feet at her base perimeter.  This "reflection" mimics the Wall of the New Jerusalem in revelation 21:17 given as "144 cubits."  When we understand the dimension of the Hebrew Sacred Cubit to be either 2.1 feet or 25.20 inches then we can calculate that the Wall of the New Jerusalem measures as follows:  144 X 2.1 ft. = 302.4 feet which clearly is a fractal/resemblance of the base perimeter of the GPG or 1/10th its perimeter expressed as 1:10.  Likewise, the 3024 ft. perimeter of the GPG when converted to Hebrew Sacred Cubits expresses the New Jerusalem's "144" in that 3024 ft./2.1 (HSC) = 1,440 Hebrew Sacred Cubits--most amazing!

Thus, the Earthly (756) and the Heavenly (792) reflections of the Holy City, New Jerusalem, are on display before us, with the "756" pronounced within the 7, 8, 6 years of the 21 years in the building of the Second Temple--talk about RESTORATION!  But there's more . . . where can we discover these two dimensions of "756" and "792" together to extol the virtues of the Almighty in His Eternal Design for His WOMAN, the Bride of Messiah - for neither are their Two Brides but One Eternal Bride for Messiah - NO, NO, NO, there is not the Wife of Jehovah for the Father and then the Bride of Messiah for Jesus - for our God is NOT a polygamist!  He is altogether singular in His desire for ONE ETERNAL CITY, THE BRIDE OF MESSIAH, THE NEW JERUSALEM!

Therefore, we read of Solomon's "Mystical Sea of Cast Bronze" . . . 

"And he made the Sea of cast bronze, ten cubits from one brim to the other, it was completely round.  Its height was five cubits, and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference." (I Kings 7:23).

Alas!  Cries the atheist:  "God does not know His math, and certainly not His geometry!"  How's that?  Well, simple Pi is 3.142857 (22/7) and the diameter of a circle, in this case 10 cubits, can be found by multiplying its diameter by Pi @ 3.142857.  Since the HSC is 25.20 inches; therefore, its diameter must be equal to 3.14287 X 25.20 inches = 792 inches. However, there is a problem:  792 inches does not equal to a circumference of 30 cubits!  Indeed, 30 cubits X 25.20 inches = 756 inches, not 792 inches.  So, what's up?  Nothing's up but the UTTER GENIUS OF THE ALMIGHTY, that's what's up!

Solomon makes the MYSTICAL SEA OF CAST BRONZE to reflect both the Earthly (756) and the Heavenly (792) character of the Holy City cleansed by the Almighty through the shedding of blood and the washing of water in the Word of God.  It is His measurement, His diameter at 10 cubits or 10 X 25.20 = 252 inches or the "25.20 inches" of the very HSC itself; therefore, it is reflected in both the unseen (792) and as well as the seen (756) - both the HEAVENLY (792) and the EARTHLY (756) - TWO IN ONE!  It simply cannot get any better than this!  Brethren, the Holy City, New Jerusalem is MULTI-DIMENSIONAL--this is God's STRING THEORY...for He obviously designed it that way to reflect His glory through this Multi-Dimensional Marvel!

#6     13 years of building minus 8 years of non-building = a net of 5 years X 360 degrees = 1,800 or "18" - God's NET GAIN in the actual building of the Second Temple "5" which in the Divine use of Number displays RESONSIBILITY (5 wise virgins); however, it is God's ultimate responsibility to effect one ultimate object of His affection--the HOLY CITY, NEW JERUSALEM.  This is clearly expressed in the "18" of BOTH the Holy City, New Jerusalem seen by John, the Beloved, as well as by Ezekiel the Prophet in his description of the four-square Holy City measured in Ezekiel 48:30-35 and, in particular, Ezekiel 48:35; to wit:

"All the way around shall be eighteen thousand cubits; and the name of the city from that day shall be:  THE LORD IS THERE (YHWH Shammah)"

It is of supreme fascination to this author in that the "exits of the city" measure 4,500 hundred cubits and are named, each of them after the "tribes of Israel" - three gates on each side; however, the impression is that each of the gates likewise measures 4,500 cubits or for each side 4,500 HSC X 3 = 13,500 HSC X 4 sides = 54,000 HSC, not simply 18,000 HSC "all the way around."  So, what is it?  Is it 18,000 HSC or 54,000 HSC "all the way around?"

The Almighty delights in "playing with our finite brains."  Could it, as well, be an expression of a MULTI-DIMENSIONAL BRAIN at work here?  The Hebrews tell us that God's Name bears "72" - for He commends 72 Elders to be with Moses (Exodus 24:1, 8 or 70 elders + Nadab and Abihu = 72); and, as well, there were (so say the scribes) at least 72 Jewish Scholars commissioned to translate the LXX (aka Septuagint version of the Hebrew Scriptures into Greek at Alexandria during the time of the Greeks' rule over Egypt) - finally, Jesus sent out the 72 (2 by 2) "After these things the Lord appointed SEVENTY-TWO others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go" (Luke 10:1).

Indeed, it appears that from the O.T. and the N.T. we have two sets of 72 or 2 X 72 = 144.  So, could it be that these calculations seen both as the "18" of the New Jerusalem (for 12,000 furlongs X 660 ft. = 7,920,000 linear feet divided by 5,280 ft. (one mile) = 1,500 linear miles X 12 edges of any cube (the design of the New Jerusalem) = 18,000 linear miles or "18."  But, what of these 4,500 cubit gates totally 54,000 cubits if we are to adjudge them each bearing 4,500 cubits?  

Dear friend - our MULTI-DIMENSIONAL GOD knew from the beginning that the base perimeter of Solomon's Temple was precisely 5,040 feet--which is the combined radius of the Moon and Earth (diameter of the Moon at 2,160 miles and the Earth at 7,920 miles = 10,080 miles divided by 2 to obtain the combined radii of 5,040 miles).  Could it be that the "54" is found in these Gates which bear the names of the 12 Tribes of Israel--just as it states in the book of Revelation 21:12-13?

"Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:  three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west."

The "appearance" of John's Holy City has a striking resemblance to that of Ezekiel's:

"These are the exits of the city.  On the north side, measuring four thousand five hundred cubits (the gates of the city shall be named after the tribes of Israel), the three gates northward: one gate for Reuben, one gate for Judah, and one gate for Levi; on the east side, four thousand five hundred cubits, three gates: one gate for Joseph, one gate for Benjamin, and one gate for Dan; on the south side, measuring four thousand five hundred cubits, three gates; one gate for Simeon, one gate for Issachar, and one gate for Zebulun; on the west side, four thousand five hundred cubits with their three gates: one gate for Gad, one gate for Asher, and one gate for Naphtali." (Ezekiel 48:30-34)

So, which is it?  After re-reading the measurement of the gates, we are forced to conclude that, initially, we are told that "the exits of the city . . . measuring four thousand five hundred cubits" - then we hear that each of the separate sides is apparently 4,500 cubits as well - which is it?  Answer:  BOTH!  Why? Because God's design is Divine, Multi-Dimensional and simply adds to "72" (18 + 54 = 72,000 Cubits).  Is God clever or what?  Well, if indeed we are viewing a total of 72,000 cubits "somewhere" found on the base perimeter of Ezekiel's Holy City, then we discover 72,000 X 2.1 ft. (HSC) = 151,200 or "1512" which, interestingly enough, comports to the "EARTHLY" measurement of the Great Pyramid of Giza base edge (for indeed, Ezekiel's Holy City is situated upon the Earth--although it bears the "18" of her "heavenly" counterpart, the New Jerusalem.  How's that?  Well, again 1512/2 = 756.  Likewise, and, most fascinating this "1512" (756 ft. X 2 = 1512 ft.) is equal in Greek Gematria (for it is a "numerical language") to the word APOCALYPSIS or Apocalypse - for if 3024 is sliced in half it is indeed "fractured" not "whole" and is JUDGED.  But together as a whole it is "3024."  

We leave the 21 Years for the building of the Second Temple wholly convinced that within these disparities are found some of the most profound discoveries of the Bible--and, most assuredly, they confirm the Divine Intent throughout Holy Writ--we are, most definitely "on to something big!"
