...from Zoan to Hebron?

By Doug Krieger

"'I will set Egyptians against Egyptians; everyone will fight against his brother and everyone against his neighbor...and the Egyptians I will give into the hand of a cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them,' Says the Lord, the LORD of hosts" - The Oracle of Egypt - Isaiah 19.

In a divided Egypt, fights break out even in hospital hallways...Since Mohamed Morsi was ousted by the military last week (3 July 2013) Egypt has become a land divided between Muslim Brotherhood supporters and opponents, and worries rise as violence escalates:

"...the two sides sought to regroup after a night of fierce clashes that turned downtown Cairo into a battlefield. Clashes were also fierce in the port city of Alexandria, where thousands from both sides fought each other with automatic rifles, firebombs and clubs.

Friday's violence left 36 dead, taking to at least 75 the number of people killed since the unrest began on June 30, when millions of protesters took to the streets on the anniversary of Morsi's inauguration as Egypt's first democratically elected president.

Morsi, a U.S.-trained engineer who was widely accused by critics of monopolizing power for himself and the Brotherhood as well as his failure to implement democratic and economic reforms, remained under detention in an undisclosed location.

Tensions were still high as tens of thousands of Morsi supporters rallied for a third day near a mosque in a Cairo neighborhood that has traditionally been a stronghold of Islamists, chanting angry slogans against what they called a coup by Gen. Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi. The general has denied the military staged a coup, saying he was acting on the wishes of millions of Egyptians protesting the ex-Islamist leadership." (Egypt's New President Asserts Authority, 6 July, 2013, AP)

Early July (July 1-7, 2013) saw some 33 million Egyptians hit the streets demanding the overthrow of President Morsi and the termination of the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood's grip on political power - and they got just what they wanted - now the top leadership, including Morsi, are under some form of house arrest or imprisonment...with the death toll now into the hundreds between forces determined to keep the Muslim Brotherhood out of power and the implacable and well-organized Muslim Brotherhood supporting their man, Mohamed Morsi (American educated and who lived for years in Orange County, California).  Notwithstanding, the public cry for a new Pharaoh - for that's how it is seen by most pundits - the 2012/June democratically-elected government of Morsi (since June, 2012) and his Islamic Brotherhood - have no plans of folding their tents and heading out to the Egyptian desert...we're looking at one awful standoff!

Egyptian crew

Scripture is not silent concerning the "BURDEN AGAINST EGYPT" - the "Oracle" or "Prophecy" concerning Egypt is ensconced within the same context as the BURDEN OF DAMASCUS found in Isaiah 17 - the infamous:  "Damascus shall cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap" (Isa. 17:1).

Spliced between the two major prophecies concerning Syria and Egypt (Isaiah 17 and Isaiah 19) is the strange proclamation against "the land shadowed with buzzing wings which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia" - in fact, way beyond the rivers of Ethiopia.  This land in the midst of the Oracle of Damascus and that of the Oracle of Egypt will send "ambassadors by sea ... 'Go, swift messengers, to a nation tall and smooth of skin (i.e., clean shaven), to a people terrible from their beginning onward, a nation powerful and treading down, whose land the rivers divide'" (Isaiah 18:2). We've discussed this "terrible from their beginning" nation and, although in this article we will not disclose in detail, suffice it to say, we have determined that this nation and her people is none other than the United States of America bent and determined with her ambassadors (State Department) to intervene in these pronouncements against Syria and Egypt in a vain and befuddled but devious attempt to orchestrate a "peace settlement" - a rather discombobulated effort in playing "power-broker" (viz., things are a bit tough leading from behind).

Surely, you must know who is this nation?  "All inhabitants of the world and dwellers on the earth" declare their understanding of this nation and this people for it is abundantly clear in that:  "When he lifts up a banner on the mountains, you see it; and when he blows a trumpet, you hear it" (Isaiah 18:3).  Notwithstanding, they who are described "From a people tall and smooth of skin, and from a people terrible from their beginning onward, a nation powerful and treading down, whose land the rivers divide" (only America has such mighty rivers which divide their land...) will be as an instrument in the hand of the Lord for in spite of all their meddling they "In that time a present will be brought to the LORD of the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, to Mount Zion" (Isaiah 18:7).  Yes, on that day they shall eventually come to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, to Mount Zion with all the other nations - but that is during the Millennial Rule and Reign...meanwhile, their immediate intent is far more speculative when it comes to their ambassadorial efforts to ameliorate the chaos now taking place in Syria and Egypt; frankly, I don't think they have a clue, unless the Administration has purposefully set a course of confusion in a effort to gain further control of the "agenda" set by financial power brokers intent on garnering the resources of the region.

But let us consider hard on the heels of the Oracle of Damascus - which prophecy, we hasten to add, unfolds before us in what is anticipated to be the most horrific civil war in the Middle East - the Oracle of Egypt, for her BURDEN is altogether prescient as we utter these statements and unravel her immediate conflict, future dictatorship, war with Israel, defeat at the hands of Antichrist, exploitation and, of all things, ultimate redemption, revival and witness to the LORD of Hosts!  Coupled with this rather prophetic extravaganza we shall, as if we were in the Nile Delta, take a tributary around Zoan and go off in a separate direction (so it would appear)...but eventually all streams empty into the Mediterranean Sea....the Great Sea of the West...

"The burden against Egypt.

Behold, the LORD rides on a swift cloud,

And will come into Egypt;

The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence,

And the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst.

I will set Egyptians against Egyptians;

Everyone against his neighbor,

City against city, kingdom against kingdom"

(Isaiah 19:1-2)

Again, let me disabuse you of the distant notion that these prophecies found in Isaiah 17, 18 and 19 are somehow quaint metaphorical announcements made by an irate prophet with nationalistic prejudice.  No, Isaiah finds himself transported into the End of Days witnessing the whereabouts of those nations and people having interaction with a Latter-Day Israel.  Isaiah 13 through 24 are specific judgments upon the nations - they have both an immediate and Latter-Day application.  For example, the prophecies regarding Babylon found in Isaiah 13 were only in part fulfilled, but never in full...and in the midst of Babylon's end-time demise - for she "kicks off" the "judgment of the nations" - wherein we hear:

"Behold, the day of the LORD comes,

Cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger,

To lay desolate;

And He will destroy its sinners from it.

For the stars of heaven and their constellations

Will not give their light;

The sun will be darkened in its going forth,

And the moon will not cause its light to shine.

I will punish the world for its evil,

And the wicked for their iniquity;

I will halt the arrogance of the proud,

And I will make a mortal more rare than fine gold ...

Therefore I will shake the heavens,

And the earth will move out of her place,

In the wrath of the LORD of hosts

And in the day of His fierce anger"

(Isaiah 13:9-13)

No, the phraseology used by Isaiah is altogether indicative of the very Day of the Lord at the close of this age - which fast approaches; therefore, when Isaiah 14 speaks, it speaks of Satan cast out of heaven's portals and is reminiscent of Draco's tail eclipsing a third of the stars falling from heaven down to the earth as found in Revelation 12; to wit:

"How you are fallen from heaven,

O Lucifer (lit. "Day Star"), son of the morning!

How you are cut down to the ground,

You who weakened the nations!

For you have said in your heart:

'I will ascend into heaven,

I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;

I will also sit on the mount of the congregations

On the farthest sides of the north;

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,

I will be like the Most High.'

Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,

To the lowest depths of the Pit...

"All the kings of the nations,

All of them, sleep in glory,

Everyone in his own house;

But you are cast out of your grave

Like an abominable branch,

Like the garment of those who are slain,

Thrust through with a sword,

Who go down to the stones of the pit,

Like a corpse trodden underfoot...

Because of the iniquity of their fathers,

Lest they rise up and possess the land,

And fill the face of the world with cities"

(Isaiah 14:12-21 excerpts)

"And war broke out in heaven:

Michael and his angels fought with the dreagon, and the dragon and his angels fought,

but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.

So the great dragon was cast out,

that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan who deceives the whole world,

he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him...

"Therefore, rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them!

Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea!

For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath,

because he knows that he has a short time."

(Revelation 12:7-9, 12)

"And another sign appeared in heaven:

behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns,

and seven diadems on his heads.

His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven

and threw them to the earth."

(Revelation 12:3-4a)

Immediately following Lucifer's exclusion from heaven's jurisdiction and his incessant accusations from Adam to Job unto the midst of the Seventieth Week of Daniel (for he is called "the Accuser of our Brethren" - Revelation 12:10), Isaiah wastes no time in declaring Babylon's - THE FINAL BABYLON'S - destruction:

"'For I will rise up against them,' says the LORD of hosts,

'And cut off from Babylon the name and remnant,

And offspring and posterity,' says the LORD."

(Isaiah 14:22)

Although the Almighty follows up Babylon's destruction after Lucifer is cast out of heaven's portals, as found here in Isaiah 14:22, He has already through Isaiah embarked on His rant against Babylon in Isaiah 13 (the entire chapter); so furious is His rage toward Mystery Babylon the Great dripping with the "blood of the saints" and the "martyrs of Jesus" - for she, this Great City, "has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!  For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury"...YES, YES, YES - this is she:  "I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus...and when I saw her, I was flabbergasted!" (Revelation 18:2-3; 17:6).

Friends, this is precisely the context - Satan cast out of heaven - he knows he will have but a "short time" to inflict his deception...already in full sway under the impress of the Antichrist during the first 3.5 days of Daniel's 70th Week...but his latter state will be far worse than his former, for he is the more enraged...just as he was enraged at the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus - and more so at His ascension - wherein it is said:  "And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born...She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron...and her Child was caught up to God and His throne" (Revelation 12:4-5).

The context, the motif is altogether too clear - Syria and Egypt at the end of the age surrounding Israel as implacable foes - for their belligerence knows not the Lord of Glory...though in time past they knew of Him but as in olden times Egypt shall, as a dog returns to his vomit, even so, Egypt out of her intractable civil war and dictatorship shall descend upon Israel; and, as her ancient heritage reasserts itself, she shall replicate the deeds done by Pharaoh vs. Moses - yes, she shall cry out to her magicians, charmers, mediums and sorcerers...for the Oracle of Egypt tells it as it shall be:

"The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst;

I will destroy their counsel (so much for "leading from behind")

And they will consult the idols and the charmers (how desperate is their deception)

The mediums and the sorcerers" (a booming business for fortune tellers)

(Isaiah 19:3)

Just as Hitler and his ilk sought after the mysteries of the ancients - even so, shall Egypt be drawn into this most obvious but inescapable deception, so desperate shall be her plight.  It's as if all the demons of the underworld have risen for this occasion with, as Peter Goodgame suggests, headed up by Nimrod's embalmed body loosed from his tomb!

The economy has collapsed and the government is nearly bankrupt, providing all of the fuel for another rebellion. The lack of a single leader to attract the support of Egyptians is an indication that the people prefer anarchy, making it ripe for the military to take over as it did in the interim period between Mubarak’s ouster and Morsi’s election.

Morsi told the London Guardian that if he were to bow to opposition demands and quit, protesters would be back in the street within a “week or a month.”

Given the gang rapes of foreign journalists that accompanied the protests against Mubarak and that occurred again this week in the growing rebellion against Morsi, and given the  breakdown of law and order and the Muslim war against the Christian Coptic sect, ultimatums and anarchy are the rule of the day in Egypt. (A rather prescient portend by The Jewish Press on July 1, 2013 - they didn't have long to wait for something far worse is taking place as of this writing in the middle of July, 2013 - See:  Egyptian Army Turns Tables on Morsi: 48 Hours to Calm Opposition)

Magic and Sorcery - the Last Resort

In a land teeming with 82.5 million souls - and desperate for a resolution of the growing CIVIL WAR descending upon the Land of the Nile (though, as was the case in Syria's early fratricide, none dare call it that) - how is it possible, for a land and her people so steeped in Monotheism - Christianity and Islam - to descend into such fratricide whereby they cry out to their ancient gods and seek ultimate counsel from a bankrupt mysticism full of Hocus Pocus?

In its widest sense magic is the attempt to influence persons and events by recourse to superhuman powers: it is “the science of the occult.” The word derives from the Magi, a priestly caste in Media whose functions have largely been associated with “magic” ever since. They claimed to mediate between gods and men, conducted sacrifices, supervised the disposal of the dead, interpreted dreams, omens, and celestial phenomena, and foretold the future (see Magi). “Magic” came into the Greek world from Persia and thence into the Roman world; gradually it acquired a pejorative sense, which the word “sorcery” has possessed to an even greater degree.

Traditionally, “black” magic is distinguished from “white” magic [likewise, there are "black witches" and so-called "white witches"]. The former is a means of invoking evil upon one’s enemies, with the aid of evil spirits, curses and spells: it presupposes malevolent powers who are willing to be manipulated. “White” magic postulates benevolent powers through whom good ends can be achieved and evil spells undone. In a well-known definition Frazer wrote, “Magic is a kind of savage logic, an elementary species of reasoning, based on similarity, contiguity and contrast” (Golden Bough I. 61). This often is compared with the systematic procedures of science.

Here (i.e., Egypt) magic had been equally prominent. It was under the patronage of the leading gods, Thoth and Isis, and papyri provide abundant detail. Magic was learned in temple schools (“the House of Life”) and priesthoods devoted especially to the art. The lore was extended to the dead, who needed their own magical equipment to preserve them in the next life. The manual “Instructions for King Merikare” (c. 2200 b.c.) shows how closely magic was linked with medicine in Egypt. The interpretation of dreams was a highly sophisticated art, and Egyptian magicians were also renowned as wonder-workers, the evidence of their extraordinary feats (going back to the third millennium) being recorded in the “Tales of the Early Magicians” (see A. H. Gardiner, viii. 262-269 for six categories of Egyptian magic). (Source)

Heka:  The Magic of Ancient Egypt

sacred magic of egypt

Allow me to delve into Egypt's deeply entrenched association with magic and the gods of the underworld:

" me belonged the universe before you gods had come into being. You have come afterwards because I am Heka."  (Coffin texts, spell 261 [2] First Intermediate Period to Middle Kingdom)

All religions [this author does not accord with such a sweeping generality] have a magical aspect[1], ancient religions like the Egyptian, according to which all of creation was animated to some extent, perhaps more so than many others. Through magic the creation had come into being and was sustained by it. Thus, magic was more ancient, and consequently more powerful, than the gods themselves.

"I am one with Atum when he still floated alone in Nun, the waters of chaos, before any of his strength had gone into creating the cosmos. I am Atum at his most inexhaustible - the potence and potential of all that is to be. This is my magic protection and it's older and greater than all the gods together!"  (Book of the Dead, New Kingdom)

It was also the extraordinary means for acquiring knowledge about one's surroundings - above all the hidden parts of them - and gaining control over them. Gods, demons and the dead could be implored, cajoled or threatened. Their help could be enlisted to avert evil or achieve one's desires.

Egyptian magical thinking continued to influence Europe. Thoth, god of wisdom and learning, was identified with the Greek Hermes Trismegistus. He was thought by the Hermetists to have originated the Hermetica, 42 books of magic [12].

The worship of Isis, of whom the Metternich Stela (4th century BCE) says "I am Isis the goddess, the possessor of magic, who performs magic, effective of speech, excellent of words," became widespread throughout the Roman empire. (Source)

Acquiring magical powers; the practitioners of magic - their practice and spells - addressing supernatural powers, chants and's still all there awaiting the "magical moment" when Egypt and her sorcerers and soothsayers shall arise from the abyss and "rescue the day" - for the time of their arrival is not far off....

"'And the Egyptians I will give

Into the hand of a cruel master,

And a fierce king will rule over them,'

Says the Lord, the LORD of hosts."

(Isaiah 19:4

You say:  "But Egypt has endured harsh overlords from time immemorial - so why must she suffer further abuse?"  Don't ask me nor attempt to ascertain their cosmic destiny - her fate is predicted by Isaiah's prophetic outburst - and what of her lifeblood, the Nile?

The Nile Wasted - Cotton Disaster - Total Unemployment - Where are the Princes of Zoan and Memphis when you need them?

"And the river will be wasted and dried up...

The reeds and rushes will wither...

All those will lament who cast hooks into the River...

And those who work in fine flax

And those who weave fine fabric will be ashamed...

All who make wages will be troubled of soul...

Surely the princes of Zoan are fools;

Pharaoh's wise counselors give foolish counsel...Where are they?

The princes of Zoan have become fools; the princes of Memphis are deceived;

They have also deluded Egypt...

The LORD has mingled a perverse spirit in her midst...

As a drunken man staggers in his vomit...

Neither will there be any work for Egypt...

In that day Egypt will be afraid and fear because of the waving of the

hand of the LORD of hosts, which He waves over it...."

(Isaiah 19:5-17 excerpts)

EGYPT:  The HAND OF THE LORD OF HOSTS is waving over you!

#4 of 60

But they will appeal to ancient counsel - to the princes of Zoan and Memphis - so blinded are they!

Now, please bear with me...I'm building a case....  The first mentioning of Zoan in Scripture is somewhat astounding and MAY portend the conditions which shall shortly prevail in Egypt and of latter-day engagement in the land of the Pharaohs.

"Then Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan (for Israel had journey from Egypt to the Promised Land, the Land of Canaan)...and they went up through the South and came to Hebron; Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak, were there.  (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt) (Note:  Parenthesis in Scripture, emphasis mine)...Now they departed and came back to Moses...'We went to the land where you sent us...truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit...Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there...The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature...There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants - i.e., Hebrew for "nephilim"); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight" (Numbers 13:17-33 excerpts).

The peculiar mentioning of Zoan must have had some significance to the Israelites who occupied the "Land of Goshen" in Egypt which bordered on Zoan and next to Ramesses.  Ramesses II reigned for 66 years and may have been the Pharaoh who contested with Moses - he is considered the greatest of the Egyptian Pharaohs.  In Exodus 1:11 we find that the Israelites built the city of Ramesses, and most likely that of Zoan nearby - therefore, the absolute familiarity with the "counselors of Zoan" and, undoubtedly, the magicians who contested with Moses in front of Ramesses II.

"But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers (aka, soothsayers);

so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchatments (i.e., "secret arts")

(Exodus 7:11)

"The magicians did so with their enchantments" several times they replicated the miracles of the plagues through their "secret arts" (Exodus 7:22 (water into blood); 8:7 (frogs)); but when it came to the third plague of lice, they declared to Pharaoh:  "This is the finger of God" (i.e., lit. "an act of God") (Exodus 8:19).  The venerable Gamaliel records that the two Egyptian magicians were Jannes and Jambres.  The "showdown" between Moses and Aaron and Jannes and Jambres may have taken place at Zoan for in Psalms 78:43 we read:  "When He worked His signs in Egypt, and His wonders in the field of Zoan."  (Note:  Zoan is also called "Tanis")

Jannes and Jambres are mentioned by Paul, the Apostle to the Gentiles, in II Timothy 3:1-9, in the context of the "last days" (incidentally, Paul studied under Gamaliel - Acts 22:3) - excerpts from II Timothy:

"But know this, that in the last days perilous (lit. "times of stress") will come.

For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud,

blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control,

brutal, despiser of good,

traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

having a form of godliness but denying its power.

And from such people turn away!

...always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses,

so do these also resist the truth:

men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith;

but they (Jannes and Jambres types) will progress no further,

for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs (i.e., Jannes and Jambres) also was."

Again, taken in its context from II Timothy 3:1-9, Paul seemingly comes out of nowhere and mentions Jannes and Jambres, two Egyptian magicians who "had it out" with Moses and Aaron...but Paul gives this bit of esoteric history (which is not found by the names of Jannes and Jambres in the Hebrew Scriptures) in the context of the "Last Days."  Why?  Because it has everything to do with the Last Days - and especially, what is happening in Egypt today.

Now, let us take a quantum leap and investigate one of the first references in the Bible concerning Zoan - and, of all places it has to do with the Israelite journey to the Promised Land, the Land of Canaan, full of the 11 sons of Canaan (Genesis 10:15-19) who have thoroughly populated the Good Land, the "land flowing with milk and honey."  But as the Israelites journeyed with Moses they came to the southern exposure of the Land of Canaan, to Kadesh Barnea, near today's Beersheba

The spies will go throughout the Land of Canaan and confirm it is "flowing with milk and honey" and they will discover that there are giants in the land - this, to them, is no "small thing!"  They spot the giants hear Hebron and then the Bible states for some inexplicable reason that Hebron was built seven years before Zoan

"And they went up through the South and came to Hebron.

Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak, were there.

(Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)"

(Numbers 13:22 - Parenthesis is in the Scripture)

Therefore, recording this rather peculiar reference (almost as an afterthought) indicating that the Israelite spies met the "giants" in Hebron:  "They went up through the South and came to Hebron; Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak, were there.  (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt)...leads us to affirm that the children of Israel were all too familiar with Zoan and used it as a comparison - a point of immediate reference - to when Hebron was built...and more so, because just as "He worked His signs in Egypt, and His wonders in the field of Zoan" (Psalms 78:43) even so He could perform miracles in Hebron where the Nephilim were.  They were the descendants of Anak, meaning:  Long-necked one - and his three sons:  Ahiman..."my brother is a gift"...Sheshai..."whitish"...Talmai..."plowman".  All this to say that the spies who cowered before these giants and lost their reference point of His miracles at Zoan.  Their negativity would cause the rest of the Israelites of age (and who complained about the negative report from the spies) to wander 40 years in the wilderness for their unbelief (and worse, the 11 of the 12 spies, all but Caleb, who brought back the negative report, were killed by an immediate plague) - but Joshua and, especially Caleb of the tribe of Judah, who eventually took Hebron and defeated those same giants (Joshua 15:14) upon entering the Good Land after their wanderings, survived to fight another day!

Now, of course, I am greatly tempted to disclose some biblical numerics here in that in Numbers 13 one member from each of the twelve tribes of Israel was chosen to "spy out the Land of Canaan."  Of interest, is the fact that only Caleb and Joshua (Joshua was not included, per se, as one of the 12 spies, but simply mentioned as "And Moses called Hoshea the son of Nun, Joshua" (Numbers 13:16)...he definitely was involved somehow) - but the fact of the matter is that 11 of the 12 spies initially gave a glowing report which turned sour when they came up against the giants - but not Caleb, who boldly declared after those bearing the massive grape clusters putrefied:

"Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said,

'Let us go up at once and take possession,

for we are well able to overcome it.'

But the men who had gone up with him (i.e., Caleb) said,

'We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.'

And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land

which they had spied out, saying,

'The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours

its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature.

There we saw the giants (i.e., "Nephilim) (the descendants of Anak came from the giants);

and we were like grasshoppers (lit. "mere insects") in our own sight,

and so we were in their sight.'

But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh,

who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes;

and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying,

'The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land.

If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into this land

and give it to us, a land which flows with milk and honey.

Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land,

for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them,

and the LORD is with us.  Do not fear them.'"

(Numbers 13:30-33; 14:6-9)

Yes, 12 spies - God's complete number - the duodecimal of the New Jerusalem (i.e., 12,000 furlongs x 12,000 furlongs = 144,000 sq. furlongs, etc.) - but 11 out of the 12 spies gave a bad report - only Caleb gave a good report and stuck with the blessing of the Lord.  In other words:  11 vs. 12.  What is this "11" who bear false witness to the miracles of the Lord which were seen in the fields of Zoan?  The "11" are as the 11 sons of Canaan (Genesis 10:15-19) and of Judas who betrayed Jesus, making the number of disciples "11" - and as the "11th" horn of the Beast (Daniel 7:7-8) - the Antichrist!  Eventually, we read that those who bore the "bad report" were slain by an immediate plague ...

"Now the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land,

who returned and made all the congregation complain against him by bringing

a bad report of the land, those very men who brought the evil report about the land,

died by the plague before the LORD.

But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh

remained alive, of the men who went to spy out the land."

(Numbers 14:36-38)

TWO - can these two be akin to the TWO WITNESSES of Revelation 11?  Well, frankly (and I certainly have not forgotten our emphasis upon Egypt - it's all connected), take a look at this and then tell me....

Caleb is said to have taken Hebron as his inheritance - having driven out the sons of Anak, the giants.  But who really was this Caleb?  Well, he was apparently of the Tribe of Judah (Numbers 13:6) - but he was the son of Jephunneh...ah...and later we find that Caleb inherited Hebron wherein it says:

"Then the children of Judah came to Joshua in Gilgal.

And Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him:

'You know the word which the LORD said to Moses the man of God

concerning you and me in Kadesh Barnea.

I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the LORD

sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land,

and I brought back word to him as it was in my heart...

Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in that day;

for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there,

and that the cities were great and fortified.

It may be that the LORD will be with me,

and I shall be able to drive them out as the LORD said'....

And Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as an inheritance.

Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite

to this day, because he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.

And the name of Hebron formerly was Kirjath Arba

(Arba was the greatest man among the Anakim).  Then the land had rest from war."

(Joshua 14:6-15 excerpts)

So - who in the world are the Kenizzites?  Caleb's dad was a Kenizzite.  As it turns out the Kenizzites were a Canaanite tribe of Gentiles living in the region of Heber - i.e., Hebron - whereof it is said of the Kenizzites in reference to Abram (i.e., Abraham) to whom the Lord was speaking concerning "in the fourth generation they shall return herefor the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete" (Genesis 15:16)...

"And He said to Abram:  'Know certainly that your descendants will be

strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them,

and they will afflict them four hundred years.

And also the nation whom they serve I will judge (Egypt);

afterward they shall come out with great possessions....

But in the fourth generation (these "generations" are aforementioned as 490 years, each set)

they shall return here (the final ingathering of the exiles into Eretz Israel - today),

for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete....

To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt

to the great river, the River Euphrates--

the Kenites, the KENIZZITES, the Kadmonites,

the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim,

the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites."

(Genesis 15:12-21, excerpts)

So, as it turns out, the Kenizzites were a Canaanite tribe during the days of Abram/Abraham.  In fact, they knew Abraham quite well.  How's that?  Abraham purchased his first piece of property in Canaan where the Kenizzites lived!

The Cave of the Patriarchs or the Cave of Machpelah (Hebrew: מערת המכפלה, About this sound Me'arat ha-Machpela trans. "cave of the double tombs"), is known by Muslims as the Sanctuary of Abraham or Ibrahimi Mosque (Arabicالحرم الإبراهيمي‎, About this sound Al-Haram Al-Ibrahimi ).

Situated beneath a large rectangular Herodian era structure, the series of subterranean chambers is located in the heart of Hebron (Al-Khalil)'s old city in the Hebron Hills. According to tradition that has been associated with both the Torah and the Quran, the cave and adjoining field were purchased by Abraham, and Abraham, IsaacJacobSarahRebecca, and Leah, considered the Patriarchs and Matriarchs of the Jewish people, are all believed to be buried there. The only matriarch missing is Rachel, who is believed to be buried near Bethlehem where she died in childbirth.[1] (Wikipedia)

Yes, 400 pieces of silver purchased the Cave of Machpelah in the midst of Hebron - I know, for I literally visited the tomb when but 50 Jews lived there (now there are up to 800 living in central Hebron) - guarded by 7 each I.D.F. soldiers - that's a LOT of soldiers per settler; then again, Caleb's voice rings in their ears.  In Genesis 23:1-20 we have this account that here is where Sarah, Abraham's wife is buried and Abraham himself (Genesis 25:26); and Isaac and Ishmael (Genesis 25:9-10) and Jacob, Rebekah and Leah are all buried there (Genesis 49:29; Joshua 24:32; Acts 7:15-16) - this is the Land's first biblical burying place - THIS IS THE TOMB OF THE PATRIARCHS!

tomb of the patriarchs

So - this IS a big deal.  Again, the Kenizzites - how did they go from being a Canaanite tribe to being linked to Caleb and the critical site known as the Cave of the Patriarchs?  All we know, for sure, is that they may have somehow been connected to Esau but that they were certainly Gentiles - that being the case, some of them (at least) attached themselves to Israel to such an extend that Caleb represented the tribe of Judah, and, incidentally, Caleb became the father of Hur and eventually found himself in the line of David - unto the Son of David, Jesus, born in Bethlehem of Judah, where Rachel, the Matriarch of Israel's tomb is to this day!

Therefore, what we have in Caleb is a stalwart member of the Tribe of Judah - whose roots are clearly traced through his father, Jephunneh the Kenizzite!  Good grief - you're telling me that Caleb pulled this off and he came from Gentile stock - even a member of a Canaanite tribe at one time?  Yep - true to the core.  Could it be that in Caleb we see that the Gentiles are being brought into the "Commonwealth of Israel" - after all, Jesus is referred to as "the Lion of the Tribe of Judah" (Revelation 5:5):

"Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh--

who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands--

that at that time you were without Christ (i.e., "the Messiah"),

being aliens from THE COMMONWEALTH OF ISRAEL (my emphasis)

and strangers from the covenants of promise,

having no hope and without God in the world.

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ."

(Ephesians 2:11-13)

map of the good land

Clearly, then, Joshua (which literally means "Jesus") and Caleb, which means BOLD (can't imagine that!) were God's tag team...for you see, it's quite easy to figure out how someone this bold from a Gentile background, hanging around with Jesus/Joshua and who said:  "You  (i.e., Joshua) know the word which the LORD said to Moses the man of God concerning you and me in Kadesh Barnea."  Caleb goes on to tell Joshua in his BOLD manner, something like this:  "Give me the Anakim - I'll take their stronghold at Hebron - I know the turf and God is with me," etc. Joshua had to CAVE (pun intended) to Caleb's desire.  But, understand, the GIANTS were still there.  So, here's what happened:

According to the Biblical text, Caleb was of the tribe of Judah. He represented that tribe among the twelve spies whom Moses sent from the wilderness to spy out Canaan. He and Joshua alone brought back an encouraging report, and in consequence were the only ones of all that came out of Egypt who were permitted to survive and enter Canaan (Num. xiii. 6, 30; xiv. passim; xxvi. 65; xxxii. 12; xxxiv. 19; Deut. i. 36). After the conquest he was given Hebron and the region around it. In the conquest of this territory he offered the hand of Achsah, his daughter, to the man who would capture Hebron for him; the feat was accomplished and the maiden won by Caleb's younger brother, Othniel. To him was assigned the south land, to which later, at Achsah's request, "the upper springs" were added (Josh. xiv., xv.; and Judges i. passim). His name is connected with several towns in southern Judah (I Chron. ii. passim).  (Jewish Encyclopedia) (My emphasis.)

Now this gets interesting, because when Caleb got the "high sign" to take Hebron from Joshua/Jesus - well, here's what Caleb said in his own words:

"And Caleb said, 'He who attacks Kirjath Sepher (vicinity of Hebron) and takes it,

to him I will give Achsah my daughter as wife.'

So Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb (i.e., Kenaz, as in another "adopted Gentile") took it;

and he gave him Achsah his daughter as wife."

(Joshua 15:13-19, excerpts)

But this Othniel-Achsah "tag team" was quite the dynamic duo, a force to be reckoned with ("Othniel" literally means:  GOD IS FORCE) - and, like Caleb, the two weren't through with their inheritance - how's that?  Well, listen to this:

"Now it happened, when she came to him, that she (lit. "he - Othneil - urged her") urged him (i.e., Caleb)

to ask her father for a field.  And she dismounted from her donkey,

and Caleb said to her, 'What do you wish?'

So she said to him, 'Give me a blessing; since you have given me land in the South,

give me also springs of water.'

And Caleb gave her the upper springs and the lower springs."

(Judges 1:14-15)

Don't tell me:  THE FORCE WAS WITH OTHNIEL - absolutely!  "God is Force" - and Caleb (BOLD) knew exactly what was going on here.  When his daughter Achsah jumped off her donkey - at the urging of Othniel - she put the heat on a vulnereable Caleb who couldn't say NO to his little sweetheart - and with that she made off with the upper and lower springs of Hebron!  (Please note:  Othniel was the son of Kenaz, who was the brother of Caleb - so Achsah and Othniel were first cousins - Joshua 15:17; it was this Othniel who was the first Judge of Israel, and the only Judge mentioned from the Tribe of Judah - Israel had fallen from the Lord's blessing and losing the battle with their foes - but after 8 years Othniel rose up, defeated the foes, and Israel had peace for 40 years - Judges 3:8-13.)

Are you getting the picture here?  Hebron was built seven years before Zoan.  No doubt it (Zoan) was built by the Israelites as slaves - but Hebron was built SEVEN YEARS before Zoan!  Zoan represents falsehood and slavery - Hebron is God's distance from Zoan represents where are the Patriarchs of Israel are buried and clearly "can be taken" by the bold who hang out with Jesus!  Shout it!  Do you see it?  God's number of perfection is "7" - that's His day He rested on the Sabbath.  Whatever doubt, unbelief, magic, secret powers, sorcery, deceit, trickery, GIANTS - whatever is not of God, Who is a God of CAN DO MIRACLES, forget it - Hebron was built SEVEN YEARS BEFORE ZOAN!  We are well-able to take Hebron - the Anakim are there - GREAT - I'm hanging on to God's promises and so are Othniel and Achsah who are right in there with me as well - WE'RE TAKIN' THE LAND and driving out the giants of unbelief, doubt, fear, and all their lying signs and wonders!  As far as we're concerned, Hebron is totally within range of God's measurement of "7" - in fact, Hebron was built seven years before Zoan and the tricksters who concocted their magical brew of deception - as Moses and Arron's snake swallowed the snakes of Jannes and Jambres - we'll eat those giants for breakfast!  After all, like we said:  "Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread!" (lit. "They shall be as food for our consumption." (Numbers 14:9

Hebron literally means "The Place of Alliance" - Who's allied with whom?  I'll tell you - it's them Gentile Kenizzites like Caleb and his younger brother's son, Othniel - GOD IS FORCE.  These are the guys on God's team - and their women are no pushovers either!  They allied themselves with the Tribe of Judah - they became hard-core Israelites - so much so that they inherited the very Cave of the Patriarchs!  Is that not cool?  What was their "reference point" when it came to Hebron:  HEBRON WAS BUILT SEVEN YEARS BEFORE ZOAN!  How'd they know that?  Because a little Kenizzite from Hebron told them - that's where they as Canaanites used to live!  Put 2 and 2 together - for there were more Gentiles in this connection with Israel than you may expect....

"Now the children of the Kenite, Moses' father-in-law,

went up from the City of Palms with the children of Judah into the Wilderness of Judah,

which lies in the South near Arad [about 20 miles south of Hebron]; and they went and dwelt among the people.

And Judah went with his brother Simeon, and they attacked the Canaanites who inhabited Zepath,

and utterly destroyed it."

(Judges 1:16-17)

Here we go again - "the children of the Kenite" (Remember in Genesis 15:19 "the Kenites, the Kenezzites/Kenizzites" were Canaanite tribes specified by God in the Land of Canaan given to Abraham?"), Moses' father-in-law" - say what?  That's right, Moses' father-in-law was a Kenite and the "children of the Kenite" (i.e., the "original Kenite") was Moses' father-in-law.  How's that?  Well, take a gander at this connection with Moses:

"Now Moses said to Hobab the son of Reuel (aka Jethro) the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law,

'We are setting out for the place of which the LORD said,

'I will give it to you,' Come with us, and we will treat you well;

for the LORD has promised good things to Israel.'

And he (Hobab, the son of Reuel/Jethro the Midianite) said to him,

'I will not go, but I will depart to my own land and to my relatives.'

So Moses said, 'Please do not leave,

inasmuch as you know how we are to camp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes.

And it shall be, if you go with us--indeed it shall be --that whatever good the LORD

will do to us, the same we will do to you.'

So they departed from the mountain of the LORD on a journey of three days;

and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them for the three days journey,

to search out a resting place for them."

(Numbers 10:29-31)

You see, these Gentile Midianites were, all this time, linked up to Moses.  They're all connected - Moses persuaded Hobab (son of Jethro) that this "would be a good deal" - so Hobab became the "eyes of Moses" to guide them through the Wilderness - Moses married into it!  As time went on the Kenizzites - Kenites - became cemented to the Israelites through Moses' recruitment efforts!  When Moses fled Egypt - he wound up with the Midianites:

"Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters [and he must have at least one son too].

And they came and drew water,

and they filled the troughs to water their father's flock.

Then the shepherds came and drove them away;

but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

When they came to Reuel [Jethro] their father, he said,

'How is it that you have come so soon today?'

And they said, 'An Egyptian delivered us from the hand of the shepherds,

and he also drew enough water for us and watered the flock.'

So he said to his daughters, 'And where is he?

Why is it that you have left the man?  Call him, that he may eat bread.'

Then Moses was content to live with the man,

and he gave Zipporah his daughter to Moses."

(Exodus 2:16-21)

Thus, Moses' father-in-law - Reuel/Jethro - was a Kenite from Midian - and the rest is history...these Gentiles offered hospitality to Moses and Moses never forgot it - they later (Hobab, the son of Reuel-Jethro) became his eyes and, eventually, Caleb, whose father is called the Kenizzite (for the Kenites and the Kenizzites were the first two Canaanite tribes mentioned to Abraham who were in the Land of Canaan, which land was promised to Abraham) were fully joined to Israel - it's a marvelous story of faith and redemption of how Gentiles became Israelites by "association" in a most pragmatic way.  Think about it:  "Come with us, and we will treat you well; for the LORD has promised good things to Israel...And it shall be, if you go with us--indeed it shall be--that whatever good the LORD will do to us, the same we will do to you" (Numbers 10:29, 32).  Imagine, Gentiles were persuaded to go with Israel because "indeed it shall be--that whatever good the LORD will do to us, the same we will do to you!"

Didn't that take some faith? "Hey, hang with us because the Lord has promised good things to Israel - and whatever good things He will do to us, we'll do the same good things to you!"  Man, that took faith on Moses' part, as well as on Hobab's part.  If God "fails" Moses - then God will "fail" Hobab!  Notwithstanding, it appears that in some peculiar fashion the Kenites kept their alliance with Israel - though some apparently "merged" with Israel in the process.

Jael - the Wife of Heber, the Kenite - Beware of Hospitality!

"Now Heber the Kenite, of the childen of Hobab the father-in-law of Moses,

had separated himself from the Kenites and pitched his tent near the terebinth tree at Zaanaim,

which is beside Kedesh.

And they reported to Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor.

So Sisera gathered together all his chariots, nine hundred chariots of iron,

and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth Hagoyim to the River Kishon.

Then Deborah said to Barak, 'Up! For this is the day in which the LORD

has delivered Sisera into your hand.

Has not the LORD gone out before you?'

So Barak went down from Mount Tabor with ten thousand men following him."

(Note - the account continues as the armies of Sisera are routed -

Sisera in turn flees to the tent of would-be friend, Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite;

for there was peace between Jabin king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite....)

"Then Jael, Heber's wife, took a tent peg and took a hammer in her hand,

and went softly to him...

(i.e., to Sisera who was hiding under a blanket - Jael had lulled to sleep with milk)

...and drove the peg into his temple, and it went down into the ground;

for he was fast asleep and he died...

So on that day God subdued Jabin king of Canaan in the presence of the children of Israel.

And the hand of the children of Israel grew stronger and stronger against Jabin king of Canaan.

until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan."

(Judges 4:10-24, excerpts)

Deborah and Jael - another dynamic Israelite-Kenite duo.  "Most blessed among women is Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite; blessed is she among women in tents" (Judges 5:24-31 - "The Song of Deborah - in praise of Jael).  Eventually, these Kenites played a huge role in wiping out the Canaanites unto the very spike in the head of Sisera, the captain of the King of Canaan's army - eventually, the King of Canaan was destroyed..."once a Kenite - always a Kenite!"

These Nile Delta telling where they might lead sometimes...but getting back to Egypt's immediate BURDEN - the Oracle of Egypt does not leave the Egyptians in a state of agony and despair.  The Oracle of Egypt had left Egypt, after enduring a horrid Civil War, and suffering at the hands of a cruel master, a fierce king ruling over them - along with their precious Nile turning foul with their Delta and her "reeds and rushes" withering - along with a bankrupted fishing and cotton industry - and absolutely nothing but fakery from that crowd over there at the magical city of Zoan...fine counseling outfit that crew...where's Jannes and Jambres when you need them?  On top of all that there's this "perverse spirit" in their midst which has caused Egypt to err in all her work; I mean, how can anything get done around here when "as a drunken man staggers in his vomit" so are the workers of Egypt - no wonder then that "neither will there be any work for Egypt" - like who wants to hire a drunk guy with vomit all over his face?  (See:  Isaiah 19)

I wish Isaiah would be more descriptive here..."In that day Egypt will be like women, and will be afraid and fear because of the waving of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which He waves over it.  And the land of Judah (you know, those guys that took Hebron which was built seven years before Zoan) will be a terror to Egypt; everyone who makes mention of it will be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts (whoops, not those "counselors from Zoan?") which He has determined against it." (Isaiah 19:16-17).  Oh, and by the way, when Paul brings up "perilous times" and then ends up by discussing the antics of Jannes and Jambres (our Egyptian magic makers) - don't think that the "spirit of those creeps" will not arise "in the last days" - not only will it, it will strike a discordant chord throughout the earth, but its concentration shall return to its vomit in Zoan!

Sounds like ole Isaiah's being a little sexist there comparing Egypt to women in fear - hey, I guess I'd be afraid if the hand of the LORD of hosts was waving over my head!  I'd be thinking when He'd be planning to pop me a good one.  So, I think we get the picture - the Egyptians will find themselves wondering when the next "pop" will thunder down upon them...therefore, we might assume that a whole lot more is going to happen to Egypt...and that assumption would be correct.

Egypt's Immediate Future

The political crisis now griping Egypt will move in lightning speed as the Oracle of Egypt unfolds - simultaneously with the Oracle of Damascus.  A "ruinous heap" is the end result for Damascus - for it will cease from being a city according to the prophetic proclamation given by Isaiah - but what of Egypt?

In our previous publications we announced three prophetic wars are upon us - we believe both now and within the next 20 years; they are:

       I.        ORACLE OF DAMASCUSPsalm 83; Zechariah 9; Isaiah 17; Obadiah 1; Amos 1 - this will be the seventh phase of the Arab-Israeli Conflict (1948, 1956, 1967, 1973, 1982, 2006 and 2011+) - this struggle will eventually pit Israel against Syria, Lebanon (Hezbollah), Gaza (Hamas) and the Palestinian Authority (the Stronghold of Ephraim) and it will conclude sometime between now (2013) and 2018 - it will not involve Egypt in the Seventh Phase.

      II.        KING OF THE NORTH and the KING OF THE SOUTH - THE GOG-MAGOG WAR against Antichrist (also known as the 11th Horn, the Willful King, the Desolator, "The Coming Prince" of Daniel 9:26 as the target - Daniel 11:40-43 - this is the same war mentioned in Ezekiel 38:1-23 and continued on into Ezekiel 39:1-16 with Ezekiel 39:11-16 dealing with the 210-day/7-month burial of the bodies of the conflict in the Valley of Hamon-Gog (i.e., lit. "The Multitude of Gog").  In Ezekiel the target of the King of the North (comprised of the peoples of Turkey - Gomer and Togarmah and Iran (Persia) - and the King of the South inclusive of Libya (ancient North African states - currently comprised of Morroco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt), ancient Ethiopia/Cush or Northern Sudan - is Antichrist, expressed in his formidable alliance as the "commercial interests of the West" and known as the SHIPS OF TARSHISH allied with Sheba and Dedan which are the ancient peoples who occupied the Saudi Arabian Peninsula.  This WAR will be precipitated by what is known in prophetic parlance by the "Treaty of Death and Hell" as found, again, in Isaiah 28:15, 18 and concluded "at the end of the WAR" (i.e., the Oracle of Damascus found in Daniel 9:26-27).  This conflict has Israel allied with the West, headed up by the "Ships of Tarshish" which we affirm to be the United States of America.  The outcome of this War is the complete defeat of the Kings of the North and South/Gog-Magog (i.e., the allies of Gog)...the terminus of this conflict will lead to the third major prophetic war:

     III.        ARMAGEDDON CAMPAIGN - WORLD WAR III - this conflict is seen in Daniel 11:44-45 with illusions found throughout Scripture (aka "The Day of the LORD") with the culmination of this seven-year conflict which can be called WORLD WAR III known as the BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON - My Sacrificial Meal (Ezekiel 39:17-20) and/or the SUPPER OF THE GREAT (Revelation 19:11-21)...which culminates the Armageddon Campaign.  "Rumors from the east and north will trouble him and he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many" (Daniel 11:44) with the Antichrist-Beast's ultimate object the destruction of Israel (Daniel 11:45) but with divine intervention his conclusion is recorded as:  "He will come to his end, and no one will help him" (Daniel 11:45)...the conclusion of this conflict obviously involves Russia and China and virtually all the nations of the earth according to prophetic accounts in Zechariah 14 - "For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem" but the final result will be "He will go forth and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle...and in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east...and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two...." (Zechariah 14:3-4).

three prophetic wars

Ravaged by internal strife, economic calamity, cruel dictatorship and, finally, the King of the South...which will no doubt be led by Egypt's Cruel Master in league with the northern tier of Islamic States comprised of Turkey and Iran, Egypt will emerge from this horrific struggle against Israel utterly devastated - the final conflict, the Campaign of Armageddon is but grist for the mill.  God Almighty's hand has been waving over Egypt from 2011 unto, we believe, at least 2025 - 14 years of suffering and calamity awaits Egypt...but then LIFE OUT OF DEATH...

"In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will speak the language of Canaan

and swear by the LORD of hosts;

one will be called the City of Destruction*

In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt,

and a pillar to the LORD at its border (lit. at "Giza")

And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt;

for they will cry to the LORD because of the oppressors,

and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One,

and He will deliver them.

Then the LORD will be known to Egypt,

and the Egyptians will know the LORD in that day,

and will make sacrifice and offering;

yes, they will make a vow to the LORD and perform it.

And the LORD will strike Egypt,

He will strike and heal it;

they will return to the LORD,

and He will be entreated by them and heal them."

*Some Hebrew manuscripts - Arabic, Dead Sea Scrolls,

the Targum and the Vulgate - translate the text as "sun" (not "destruction")

with the Septuagint translating Asedek, literally as "righteousness."

(Isaiah 19:18-22)

The peculiar prophetic expressions:  "In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear by the LORD of hosts; one (of these 5 cities) will be called the City of Destruction" or "SUN" or "RIGHTEOUSNESS" - the translators are perplexed over the renderings here of this word "ASEDEK."

We've previously noted that the deluge (Noah) lasted for 5 months ("At the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters decreased."  Genesis 8:3); and 5 months the scorpions' sting afflicted the earthlings - "They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails...their power was to hurt men five months."Revelation 9:10.  In both cases "judgment" of the nations, the peoples, is in the view.

In Isaiah the judgment - the "Destruction" has already been accomplished - thus, FIVE CITIES in the Land of Egypt will speak the language of Canaan.  And, just what might that language be?  Obviously, and much to some who will be disgusted to hear this - that language will be Hebrew, for the Good Land has been given to the Hebrews - but more so, Egypt will be truly at peace with whether they literally will speak Hebrew or "talk the same language" of peace and harmony, I cannot say; however, what I can say is this:  Egypt will have passed from darkness to light for the CITY OF THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS will be their lot - for Malachi 4:1-2 will have come to pass and the Sun of Righteousness will arise with healing in His wings - just as it clearly says in Isaiah that Egypt, though once stricken, shall be healed (Isaiah 19:22).

Egypt will be exceedingly blessed of the LORD of hosts - the Egyptian will "know the LORD in that day" and "they will return to the LORD, and He will be entreated by them and heal them."  Furthermore, the Great Pyramid of Giza - which is at the BORDER OF EGYPT - her ancient border and is there to this day - shall become "an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the LORD at its border."  This striking statement climaxes the absolute and utter fulfillment of the original purpose of the Great Pyramid of Giza whose pyramidion is currently absent - for it does not await the Antichrist, the Eye of Horus but the Capstone, with shouts of Grace, Grace to it (Zechariah 4:7).

"You have set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, to this day,

and in Israel and among other men;

and You have made Yourself a name, as it is this day."

(Jeremiah 32:20)

This mighty pillar at the border of Egypt, in her midst, will be for a SIGN and a WITNESS to the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt - all will finally know its purpose - which purpose we affirm was designed by the Shepherd Kings who came from the East under the leadership of Enoch and for this reason is the Great Pyramid of Giza known as ENOCH'S PILLAR to this day.

O Egypt - your suffering will not be compared to the blessing that shall come on that day of Messiah's coming - "He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them!" (Isaiah 19:20) - this is your blessing ...

"In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria,

and the Assyrian will come into Egypt

and the Egyptian into Assyria,

and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians.

In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria

--a blessing in the midst of the land, whom the LORD of hosts shall bless,

saying, 'Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands,

and Israel My inheritance."

(Isaiah 19:23-25)
